Restaurant was great….check it out!

The property is beautiful and the staff were very friendly. However, I unfortunately woke up to a cockroach crawling up my back in the morning. They refunded our $30 parking, which was nice of them. I understand that you can only do so much about unwanted pests in an older building, but it was not a great experience overall.

The hotel was an unique spot right in the middle of a vibrant, busy neighborhood. The hotel room was clean. There washroom design was odd as the sink and light were outside the bathroom. The toilet and shower were self-contained with no way to clean up after using the it. The old-style elevator was a nice feature and was the on-site cafe and restaurant. Would definitely stay again.

Property was beautiful and unique and the area is central. Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious!

Loved the property. Clean, and very comfortable. has everything you need. The staff wasn’t always helpful though. They didn’t check in my parking info (even though all the information was provided) so I hope I don’t get a fine. I payed the parking at the hotel. I also got charged 2x at checkout and now have to call the hotel and ensure I get that resolved.

The room was laid out practically with not a lot of space to sit or put things away. There was no cable tv but that wasn’t a problem since we rarely watch tv when in Toronto. Parking was located across the street via laneway under the grocery store so it was semi secure (better than being on the street) but not worry free. The main issue is that our room faced the south side (Queen street) so we could hear all the traffic including the streetcars. All that said, the room had a rustic charm about it and you felt you were in a historic building (which you were). The staff were all lovely and the restaurant was good. Location was fantastic if you wanted to be out of downtown core but still close enough to walk.

The property was nice but we had an issue with the blind in our room and it took them two days to fix it unfortunately

Room was spacious and clean. The amenities on each floor were great, loved the pool table. The staff was helpful with anything we needed. Would stay there again.

Good location and a cool vibe but several misses. Front desk staff was inflexible and borderline rude in accommodating an earlier check in time so we had time to dress before the wedding we were attending. It required management intervention to resolve. No door staff makes it a challenge to drop off luggage on a busy corner.

The staff are extremely lovely and helpful, its biggest downside is that the rooms are a little small and the shower had no sliding door you could close as it employed the drain method which didn't work perfectly ending up in a wet floor. The curtains also had bars in the way so I had to stand up

My partner and I arrived earlier than anticipated, and while we were not able to check in early, the staff at Gladstone happily took our bags and stored them so we could enjoy ourselves without being encumbered by our baggage. They have a lovely little bar, including an outdoor patio which was absolutely gorgeous, and the prices were exceptionally reasonable. All of the staff, from the front counter, to the servers, to the elevator operator, were very polite, professional, and personable and certainly made our stay more enjoyable. Once we checked in, we were taken to our room and it was lovely. Clean, bright, and had (almost) everything we needed. The only thing missing was a small fridge in the room but that was my oversight when booking and I certainly wouldn't criticize Gladstone for it. A remote blind was very handy when we got back from our event and were too exhausted to get out of bed to close it manually. I loved how each floor has a unique setting in the common area, our floor had a functional pool table. So fun! A lovely, boutique hotel, within reasonable walking distance to RBC Amphitheatre, the waterfront, and so many other venues. We will be back and I cannot recommend Gladstone enough!

Historic property renovated to provide modern comforts, including an old fashioned crank elevator that still works. Would highly recommend this property

A great stay with groovy ambiance, friendly staff and a great restaurant. Will definitely stay again if we are back in Toronto on an overnight.
