The hotel, location, cleanliness of the rooms and property were excellent. Three major downfalls for this property: The electricity in you room if old. The power continually serges and the adapters won’t work properly. The room never really cools down and the addition of a ceiling fans in the rooms could make a huge difference in comfort. Last, the breakfast included in not impressive at an and is not self-serve. The staff are NOT friendly nor helpful, and seem to resent the fact, you are there and need their service. I disliked going to breakfast each morning, know the negative vibe in the room. A welcoming attitude, even a simple “Good morning! “ or Customer Service will make or break this hotel.

Need to provide irons for rooms. Needs a pool.

The location and staff were excellent. The room was dated but clean. The breakfast was mediocre . The rooftop was the highlight of our stay. It was nice to have a drink on the rooftop and enjoy the great views. The staff were friendly and pleasant. The negative was the WiFi reception was terrible and kept dropping. The staff at reception were also friendly and helpful with any inquiries and arranged our rides,

The view from the balcony was beautiful. The breakfast staff was great!

Perfect accommodation. Clean, great location, nice amenities and helpful staff.

I had a great time here. The staff helped me plan a boat excursion to Capri.

The hotel la bussola is a very nice hotel with friendly staff who are very accommodating. The breakfast was great and the dinner in the restaurant was good. The proximity to the main plaza was perfect for walking. The bathroom shower design was too small for us and the double mattress were uncomfortable. I would stay there again if the bathroom and the beds are changed.

Breakfast is not really a buffet. They serve you and there could be a long line. Food is cold and they even have a microwave on the side. The hotel is quite old and they have plastic glasses in the room. Not nice

The location was excellent in frint of harbour with beautiful views, right in centre but quite end of Amalfi. Its lovely hotel clean with parking available was essential for us a bit expensive but . Staff very friendly and will do anything for you . We had one evening meal in the hotel -not as much to say about food , we had enjoyed meal out in town so many places to eat . We had few drinks on rooftop bar beautiful views excellent staff - drinks more expensive but its 4 star hotel , lovely settings just enjoy it . Its lovely area around hotel especially night time defenetly posh area

This hotel was amazing. It’s so close to the port if you are taking the ferry in and still close to all the shops and restaurants. The staff were attentive and super friendly! We stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon and when we got there they offered us a complimentary bottle of champagne. If you are staying in Amalfi, I highly recommend this place!

Awesome hotel. Staff is very helpful, a two minute walk to Amalfi shops and restaurants and bus and ferries. We had the balcony and in October we opened the door and could see the sea plus get the breeze in. Only about 5 stairs to get to the lobby and the staff were so helpful to get the luggage up and down them. In an area where there are stairs everywhere this was great. They also have an elevator to the floors plus a free breakfast which was yummy! We’d absolutely stay again!!

Such a great hotel! Great location, amazing staff, parking available, delicious breakfast included… plenty of room in bathroom- plus bathtub. We were extremely happy and impressed. Great location and easy to walk to ferries, and heart of historic area

Outstanding location with quick access to all transportation and shopping in Amalfi. Staff was the real difference as they were incredibly accommodating and attentive to our needs and requests. The front desk arrange a private golf cart tour up to Ravello that was amazing. He dropped us off to explore for the day ( with his recommendations ) and then continued to provide insights on the return trip with stops at key photo spots along the way. Super warm and welcoming hotel and staff Rooftop bar had a fantastic band one night. Just a great stay.

Nice and classy place to stay

Property and Hotel were fantastic, however, the lack of Internet was a little bit annoying

Hotel La Bussola was lovely! All the staff - from reception to restaurant to room cleaners and laundry services - were friendly, accommodating, and very helpful. They scheduled ground transportation, offered ideas and recommendations, and made the most delicious meals! Our room was immaculate, as were all the other areas of the hotel. The hotel is conveniently located on the main road along the Amalfi waterfront, within walking distance of the ferry port and bus/shuttle center, and only steps away from beaches, dining, shopping, ATMs, and tourist sites.

Nice hotel in great location but they have unusual and inconvenient system for serving food for the breakfast! Guests can’t help themselves for the open buffet there was one staff to serve you and all the guests have to wait till she finishes before serving the second guest and if you forget soy or need to top up you have to take queue again, how silly was that!!
