Wonderful. Beautiful. Historical. Great, great staff!

A beautiful setting within a beautiful city. We loved this place overall. Staff were very friendly, everything about the hotel was top notch...except the comfort of the bed for me. That was the only slight negative. We would love to visit again though. Basically outstanding.

The perfect Tuscany experience with historical significance, beauty, and comfort.

Beautiful views of San Gimignano from the outdoor bar and breakfast area. Our room was large, and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Gave us great restaurant and wine tasting ideas.

Property is highly recommended. We were very pleased as it provided a real country Tuscany feel about it. Very well appointed and 'historical'. Staying facing the garden in the summer had a drawback of mosquitos getting into the room. Hotel did not seem to relate this problem, not offer any solutions, so that was just a bit disappointing. Otherwise, this is highly recommended.

The grounds are amazing and the view out front to the Tuscan Hills will make you forget all of your worries. Clean room, great bathrooms. The place has that old century feel while still feeling modern enough. Make sure you pay before through Expedia or check out and not leave like other hotels in the US, I got an angry call from the front desk woman who’s thought I wasn’t paying and threatened to call the police even though there was a card on file that was used to hold the room. Besides that one interaction which I didn’t love everything else was amazing.

Amazing place, service really good and excellent location

What a unique and beautiful place to stay - everything from the room to the overall hotel and gardens were delightful. An absolute stand out though, were the staff - they were so happy, welcoming and helpful. They outshone the beauty of the physical hotel. Thank you for making a stay so memorable.

The views from the hotel were very nice The morning staff were very friendly We booked a Suite and our friends booked a normal room, both rooms are exactly the same not worth booking a suite Late night staff were very rude we had a gecko in our room, we were told to leave the hotel if we can’t sleep with a gecko inside the room until we requested our money back

The place looks incredible, it is incredible but the staff make the place unique.

Beautiful grounds and exterior of the property, but the interior was very tired, service was definitely lacking relative to the other hotels we stayed in Tuscany and there was almost a “stale” vibe there (i.e. it was weirdly quiet and dimly lite). We booked the nice room with the jacuzzi at the top but we couldn’t get in the jacuzzi as i) first you had to request them to fill the tub 1 hour prior (you’d think they’d fill it automatically when you get in) and ii) once it was filled, we tried to get in but the temperature was so hot you could almost boil a lobster... we waited for 2 hours to see if it cooled down but to no avail. As this was one of the most expensive places we stayed in Tuscany, while it does have remedying qualities, it was honestly a let down relative to the other hotels (particularly considering this was the most expensive).

Tuscany at its best Absolutely perfect in every way

Location ++. We have seen some negative reviews about this place but our experience was superb with a very helpful team onsite. The view from the grounds is fantastic and chilling by the pool on a hot Tuscan day was wonderful. This is a converted monetary so people expecting a modern plush room should consider something else - but you will be missing out on something truly beautiful. The service was excellent.

An amazing property in a handy location if you have a car. Just a short 5 minute drive in to the n town. The pool was a bonus in the heat. The only negative was a preset air conditioner in the room which was set too high. We sweltered when in the room and despite asking for it to be adjusted a number of times nothing was done
