The hotel was perfect and a real wow factor when you first see it. A pleasant 15 minute walk to the old town, so great location. We arrived into Leon by train and there were no taxis, and a long line of people. We ended up walking to the hotel, as you cannot order a taxi to the station ( a very strange system) and no uber or bolt. Its only 20 minutes walk, but if you have a lot of luggage it may not be so easy

New rooms in a building with a long history. Staying at the parador added an important layer to our visit to León.

Amazing

Breakfast was delicious with so many fresh local options. Parking was safe. The Parador León was exceptional with its grand staircase, ancient architecture and its unique library, courtyard statues of St. James, etc. The huge plaza outside the hotel is relaxing for a stroll and don’t forget to stroll over the 2,000 year old bridge next to the hotel and along the wide River walk. We love the Parador León Hotel in Spain and its location.

The breakfast was fresh with a wonderful variety of foods.

The room was very large and very well decorated

Large clean room. Comfortable beds. Beautiful building with access to the museum next door. Good parking also. Good quality breakfast selection also.

Pros: not in the center but still walkable, gorgeous facade and attached monastery, nice included breakfast, beautiful and ample standard room, pleasant staff everywhere in hotel Cons: no pool, no spa and renovation in the hotel side looks like an office

Beautiful historic hotel.

I saw some guests being guided around the hotel. It would have been nice to have a policy to do this for all guests as I only found doors to the cloisters because I am naturally curious and was determined to find a way. Also, even though I could hear folk on the exterior courtyard, I had no idea where it was.

An incredible building but the hotel itself is certainly not 5 star. Average breakfast. Strange lighting in the room and large soap/ shampoo containers which kept getting stuck

Just wonderful

Great place, very unique, spacious rooms...you will never stay at another hotel like this, the building is a converted monastery and its been several things since its creation but its now a very cool hotel!

Having stayed in the parador twice before, we were really excited to stay again as it was one of the most beautiful paradors we had ever seen. The building is centuries old and was furnished with beautiful antiques. We were so disappointed upon entering to discover that the entire interior has been gutted and a slick, modern hotel has been built within. It is quite well done, but it has lost all the soul of the previous hotel. I find it hard to believe that they were able to destroy such a national treasure.

Quite possibly the most amazing hotel I have ever experienced! An architectural masterpiece in a beautiful city on the Camino Santiago. The room, public spaces, breakfast and all the service was top notch.

Excellent Parador in the city centre. Lovely rooms. Access to restricted areas of the hotel by room key card. Great breakfast. Really nice staff
