Lovely and clean, good choice at breakfast. A bit tight around the foot of the bed but that was a minor niggle and the only one. Concierge was very helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

An overnight stopover travelling south

My wife and I spent one night here in the standard double room. The room, which was very clean, was small but adequate for a night. Although only a double bed, the bed was suitably firm. We only had interactions with staff for checking in and out, but that was quick and friendly. The hotel is perfectly situated for visiting the historic center of Brive and restaurants. The only quibble is that free parking is noted for the hotel. However, we checked in at 6:30 PM and the few parking spots were already taken by other guests. That was not a real problem as we could park at the city lot in front of the hotel for free as long as we moved our car by 9 AM. I have no regrets about staying at this hotel and quite likely would choose to do so if we came by here again.

I had somehow booked for the wrong night but fortunately another room was avaible but was not a large one with balcony I had booked for. Lady was very helpful and friendly. The smaller room without balcony cost me the same though. Working on carpark so parking limited.

People were very nice❣️ Convenient from train station. Town so cute when walking to hotel. 37 stairs to my room- BUT (very sweet) manager carried my suitcase to my room. Construction on one side of Hotel and bar on other side. Mattresses not the best but tolerable.

This hotel was a pleasure to stay in, the check in with the owner was very good, spoke very good English, explained that the building was built in the 1700’s which explained the slightly worn conditions of the room, but it was comfortable and clean. He also gave us a recommendation for a cafe nearby, the food and service there was second to none, and it was licenced. We strolled through the village which was very pleasant. All in all a great one night stay and about 4 hours drive from Paris, with parking right out the front of the building in their own car park, free of charge, something that doesn’t happen too often.

Great little hotel at the center of Brive. Good breakfast. You can easily walk here from the train station. Had some issues with the room door lock first but got it figured out after some tries. Would stay again.

Clean, cozy and relaxing setting with a friendly staff. Extremely well located in the center of town.

Stayed on top floor just as heat wave started A*C broken. Couldn't get WiFi in my room, couldn't open wardrobe door & very noisy construction work started next door at 6 a.m Left after one night - had booked for two

The hotel is quaint and charming, quite old, and conveniently located at the edge of the old Centre Ville just a short walk to the plaza at the center of town. Brive is a medieval village that has many buildings from the 1500's, as well as modern shopping and great restaurants. My only discomfort with the hotel was that the room was too hot, and there was no A.C. or fans provided. But the food was good and the staff were all courteous and helpful. Some spoke a little English which was a plus.

Central Brive-la-Gaillarde is a wonderful area for a stroll. Hotel la Reserve is right there but accessible by car and has complimentary parking.

Fabulous market

We had no hot water in the room, so a cold shower! We told the reception and was given a key to another room, but still no hot water! The girl apologised and gave us a free breakfast but we think at least a fifty percent reduction should have been given.

We were in the area for a funeral. We arrived in Brive last and these guys were kind enough to keep the restaurant open just for us. Food was excellent. They also extended breakfast for us the following morning for funeral planning. Extremely accommodating staff, comfortable rooms and location right on the ring road around Brive make this an easy yes.

Excellent séjour. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de restaurant sur place .

La chambre était un peu froide à notre arrivée et avec le réglage de la température nous sommes arrivés à une bonne température au milieu de la nuit. L'entrée dans la baignoire pour profiter de la douche est assez laborieuse pour des plus de 80 ans. A part cela, tout était parfait et particulièrement le petit déjeuner.
