Stayed for one night on the way from the Alps to Milan. Large hotel with exceptional service, good amenities and clean modern rooms. Breakfast was ok but not on par with the rest of the experience... Staff is exceptional and very helpful.

We always stay at Grand Hotel Billia on our way back home from Italy. The service is great - as ever - but there just seems to be a sense of something not quite right - the coffee machines in the rooms don't work very well the last 2 x stays! Time to buy new ones!! Does the property have a staff shortage? Leaves and debris in both the main inside pools and the little outside pool infested with leaves! That apart - the staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are great - with breathtaking views of the mountains opposite! Still our hotel of choice on our way back to the UK.

It was good stay and I loved how it’s situated in the centre of Switzerland France and Italy. It’s easier to take a car and travel to any place.

The hotel is beautiful and is located in an absolutely perfect setting. Our favorite part of the hotel was the outdoor pool and lounge areas. They have a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. The rooms were modern and clean. Staff was very helpful.

Everything about this hotel, from check-in to departure was easy, uncomplicated and friendly. The staff were so welcoming and our room was upgraded to a beautiful small suite overlooking the pool and gardens. The room itself was luxurious and cool, with the AC which was a must as it was so hot. Lots of room for parking. We ate dinner in the restaurant, a gastronomic delight. The only slight irritation was that there were a few very young children in the dining room but this is Italy, after all ! All in all, we had a great time. We actually booked this last minute. We were originally going to stay in Chamonix but on our way down to Italy, found that town to be rather soulless and bland. So we cancelled that booking and came to the Grand Hotel Billia instead ..... a decision which was definitely worthwhile. We'll be back, for sure.

My husband and I needed to get away from the city for some days so we drove from Geneva to the Grand Hotel Billia. The drive is absolutely gorgeous and it was very nice to reach the hotel with such great/attentive service. Our room overlooked the mountain and although it was cold and rainy it all made up for a very cozy environment. There are a number of ski slopes around, reachable by car or gondola (just make sure you have snow tires/chains) which make for a perfect day trip. The spa is great, a lot bigger than we expected. There are several inside/outside pools, hammams, sauna, etc and we even splurged with a nice relaxing massage. The restaurant is also very nice - we ended up eating there both nights just so we would have a chance to try different things in the menu. Excellent food and a good selection of wines to pair it with. Highly recommended if you're looking to spend a weekend away with your partner, or perhaps a nice family vacation. It must also be very beautiful in the summer!

This is an amazing property! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the service provided by everyone, front desk, valet, dining room etc is exemplary. The room price offered through hotels.com was great value and a really good breakfast buffet and valet parking was included. Dinner at the hotel was excellent and fairly priced. Room and bathroom were super nice. We paid an extra $350 on site to upgrade our about-to-be-wed kids to a full suite ( not junior suite) and, other than the jacuzzi tub and fireplace, it was probably not worth it... basic room was the same. Presidential Suite may be another story!

Very nice hotel with amazing Spa facility with professional staff. We stopped for two nights in our drive to Nice. This is jewel resort nested in lovely village. The only negative is that hotel AC is not used for hot weather and rooms were uncomfortable at night without a working AC.

I have seen other reviewers describe this hotel as being similar to The Grand Budapest Hotel from the movie of the same name. Make no mistake, it is the hotel from its hay day, not when it was in decline. We have stayed in a lot of historic properties over the years, but the updating of this property has been fantastic. The rooms are modern, but not without a great deal of character preserved. I would highly recommend staying at least a couple of nights at this hotel if you are passing through the area just to enjoy the fabulous patios, pools, and the stunning view. We wished that we would have had more time to enjoy. Oh, and did I mention the restaurant and staff were terrific?

Great hotel - superb staff (professional, very welcoming, very classy and atentful without being pushy) - great interior décor - rooms very comfortable. Two points for improvement: the in-room control system for the electrical workings is hyper-tech and not self-explanatory - is a distraction. The room we had was very elegant but rather on the small side.

A pleasant stopover on our road trip...did not have time to use facilities or even breakfast but room was nice junior suite...friendly staff. Access to casino not very appealing and although given vouchers it was such a long walk I turned back.

It is a wonderfull hotel, with brand new facilities, big-big rooms, beatifull views of the mountains. Sigñore Roberto, the concierge, is an extremely helpful person and provided unsurpassed quality service. We went horse riding in the morning and there are other activities in the area available to the guests. The best hotel in this area.

L’hôtel est magnifique, le spa fabuleux le petit déjeuné, correct Je me suis entendu plus de cette Hôtel , 5 étoile plus de professionnalisme de leurs pars À mon arrivée, j’ai entendu 45 minutes pour avoir ma chambre, même pas un petit attention de la part de la de l’accueil pour les assurés, j’ai devez appeler le service clientèle pour qu’il fasse le nécessaire quand je suis membre de Gold Je voulais partir plus tard possible à 14h au lieu 12h Ils me disent pas possible je devrais devais assister pour valoir mes droits. Merci. Beaucoup à nicoleta il nous avait parlé gentiment et avec un professionnalisme.

Très beau sejour. Magnifique hôtel et spa. Chambre spacieux et tres grande salle de bain. Bar et restaurant top avec tres bon service. Seul bémol le petit-déjeuner qui n'est pas digne d'un 5*.

l'hotel est bien ! cependant la machine à café et la bouilloire ne fonctionnait pas dans la chambre . D'autre part les ascenseurs étaient tout le temps en panne ! Bizarre pour un 5 étoiles !
