Great location, lovely accommodation, great, helpful staff, good food Thank you

Could be a great hotel if refurbished especially the rooms as they are very tired looking, shower small with mould growing around the shower tray and in the grout. Staff were brilliant and very helpful food was also very good

Making an effort, new carpets etc, but needs maintenance, black mould on walls, lots of cobwebs, loud generator making beeps all night.

The chef was extremely helpful and cooked my evening meal early, so that I could go out. Unfortunately, there were no decaf drinks; they didn't think it necessary. The building looks run down from outside

it would have been good to have had a small fridge in the room. otherwise it was great. staff very friendly. A great place to have a small dog.

Stepping into this beautiful 1600s Devon inn felt like travelling back in time in the best possible way. Full of charm, character, and cosy atmosphere, it had everything you could want for a relaxing countryside stay. From the weird and wonderful ornaments on the walls to the historic beams and welcoming surroundings, every detail made it feel truly special. Laura was an absolutely fantastic landlord — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we arrived. She made us feel completely at home and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. A huge bonus was how much both my partner and our dog loved it too! It’s not always easy to find somewhere that’s genuinely dog-friendly while still feeling so comfortable and high quality, but this place absolutely nailed it. Plenty of lovely walks and beaches nearby, a relaxed atmosphere, and lots of fuss for the dog made it perfect for all of us.

A beautiful 16th century inn, everything is absolutely clean from the rooms to the stairs, the food is nothing out of this world but it was quite good, my Fifi was treated like a Diva. All was fantastic and for the price it's absolutely good value for money, the landlady she's absolutely great in every way and of course she's the heart and soul of the site. Thank you and we will come back. 5 stars

Landlady went beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. Incredible food and sent us off in the morning with complimentary food water for our trek. Extremely friendly/welcoming atmosphere! Couldn’t recommend more!

Lovely clean hotel. Good service. Bit limited on drinks in the bar, but ok. Good breakfast. Would stay again.

The team was incredibly welcoming, and looked after me well. I had a lovely evening meal, and they were kind enough to do an early breakfast for me, as I was doing a long-distance walk and needed to make the most of daylight hours. The room was quite compact, and it is clearly an older building, but was comfy enough for me. The bathroom was compact, but certainly not cramped.

Good food clean & comfortable hotel, nice owner. Enjoyed our stay.
