If you're looking for mouldy walls and musty air this is the place for you! We were given a basement room which was incredibly run down. For this location, this city and this price, you would not expect to be dissapointed like this. The room was so dismal that my family members decided to leave the hotel after just the first night. They were not reimbursed for the mouldy room. Better look elsewhere!

“Luke warm” is my impression. Not much effort is going into making this Hotel a preferred place to stay. It’s all a bit rundown and sad but you could interpret it as nostalgic. However having to ask for a fan because the room is too hot, asking for a kettle for a cup of tea, allowing smokers to stand outside the breakfast room and scrambled eggs that have been salted to the cook’s taste and a boiled egg that’s green, all of these thing make that we wouldn’t want to come back. We had one good experience with Fletcher Paterswolde so we kept coming back to the brand but from now on it is not going to be our first choice. The location of course is top of the pops and the staff try hard but it’s swimming against the tide.

Perfect location in the center of Deventer, train station and 24h parking garages nearby. Paid 42 euro for a double room with balcony via an auction site so the value for money was excellent. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable, the bathroom even had a bathtub! Check in was a bit difficult as the key card didn't work twice but they quickly found a solution. A tea/coffee machine would be nice but we could get free hot drinks day and night in the breakfast room so no complaint here. Deventer is quaint ,and lovely, with welcoming people , great food and stunning views on the IJssel, well worth the visit!

Nice historical building, very well maintained in the common areas. Rooms are wide and functional, practical for anyone. The position is in the historic centre, not accessible by car, but a few cheap parking are nearby. The breakfast is quite varied and abundant (coffee is not the best quality though...). Price ok for the accommodation. The staff is very professional.
