I was a bit surprised to be put in a room on the old side of the hotel - a bit souless. I'm sure the more modern side to the hotel is nice, but I didn't get to see it

The main corridor from lift needs to be improved so that a lot lighter. The bathroom Very disappointing. So dark could not see control indicators- not every one wants a drench experience no hooks near shower for towels/clothes, no shower gel, shower cap or sani bags. No non slip mat , I was not confident that the tiles were non slip.. Toilet felt insecure as if would cone away from wall, again very dark. The bed side light was awful, like looking at clear bulb, not near enough to read in bed comfortably. Switches on side of head board difficult to use unless sat up. Very Bad cold plates for a hot breakfast - why. On a postive note the staff were professional and helpful, the food at the wedding breakfast was excellent.

Parking was good and staff and bar staff and drink selection was excellent xx

Very nice property, great facilities

The room we had at the front of the hotel had a chipped sink and dirty shower. No air conditioning is installed so the room was extremely warm which caused us not to have a great night's sleep! The hotel promises a lot but it failed to deliver for us. The food is overpriced, catering to the execs on expenses, especially the breakfast, limited selection with only one person available for service so tables were dirty and cutlery missing. Our evening meal had a large hair in it and had to be sent back. So as a summary, overpriced and understaffed, the combination did not make a great stay.

Parking easy. Staff lovely and helpful. Excellent coffee, wine and whisky at bar.

Absolutely fantastic hotel! Will most definitely stay again!

The staff are always very pleasant and helpful, and check-in is smooth and friendly every time. Unfortunately, I’ve been disappointed with housekeeping on my last few stays. I’ve left the “Clean My Room” tag on the door when leaving in the morning, but returned to find the tag still there and the room untouched. I have mentioned this previously at reception, but sadly it doesn’t seem to have improved. Apart from this issue, I absolutely love staying here.

The wedding was fantastic. The staff was very helpful. The only grippe we had was the room which was clean but we had a tap that didn’t work and also the Air-conditioning did not work and when opening the window we got woken up at 5 am setting out chairs for the next wedding Would I stay again yes but will ask for a different room and make sure that I have air-conditioning-working.

Lovely clean rooms and good staff. Rooms however are not air conditioned and far far too warm. The rooms do have a fan in them however all this does is circulate hot air. Also no medical fridges available for insulin storage.

First visit — friendly staff, easy check-in, and brilliant service from the bar and restaurant team. The rooms are extremely modern.

Staff great. We didn’t have any hand soap and the hair dryer didn’t work.

The room was very well appointed, lots of space with a huge bathroom in the Spa Suite. Breakfast was plentiful though there were no warm plates for the cooked breakfast. Nice airy open bar area and orangery where food was served. Debbie on reception gave a warm and friendly welcome. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room was dated, toilet not flushing properly, leaking from the stack. Colleagues friendly and efficient. Nice walk on footpath to Clowne, and Greenway to Creswell.

I was there for a wedding and it went without a hitch parking at venue was great right in front of front doors. My only disappointment was our room 115 from the minute we got in it just smelt of drains and as the time went on it got worse to the point it was making us feel sick. We never complained because of wedding party but as we were leaving a few more couples mentioned the smell next door to ours and across from us. I hope this is a one off because it definitely brings the tone of a beautiful hotel down.

The room I had was in the old part of the hotel and was noisy, very cold and in need of a refurb - curtains didn't fit, heavily stained carpet and generally tired. Food and service was good as were the team. Handy for the motorway but not sure I would stay again
