Furthermore, due to ongoing street maintenance, the main front door was inaccessible. To reach even the first-floor rooms, you have to climb a minimum of about 25 stairs. Avoid this hotel if you have mobility issues. ​Location: It is not in the immediate heart of the city. You will need a car or a 15-minute Uber ride to get to the main Quebec City attractions. ​Housekeeping: Room cleaning is strictly by request. I had to ask twice to get my room serviced. ​Breakfast: The complimentary breakfast is very generic—expect standard fare like boiled eggs, bread, jam, croissants, juice, and coffee. ​Room Condition: I booked the Economy Room. It is definitely compact, but perfectly fine if you just need a place to crash and get a good night's sleep.

On avais déjà loué la plus petite et moins chère chambre. Peut-être que c'était dans une section plus neuve mais la chambre cette fois-ci aurait besoin de maintenance et la propreté dans les détails laisse à désiré. En ce qui a trait à la grandeur de la chambre, on s'attendais à plus d'espace qu'au delà du matelas.

The hotel is a refurbished apartment/condo complex. The room we stayed in was almost identical to an apartment I own back home but with one less wall so they could turn the living room into another sleeping area. The quality of the refurbishment was so-so. Their contractor got lazy and just painted all the trim, baseboards, doors, and walls all the same colour so it would be new and refreshed. The breakfast was ok, nothing to brag about but was definitely a nice quick start to the day. They had things like bread/toast, boiled eggs, mini croissants and mini cinnamon buns from Loblaws, cereal, yogurt, juice, milk, tea, and milk. I didn't get a chance to try out the salt water pool or gym. My one major complaint about my stay was the curtains. They let in too much light in the morning and was awake as soon as the sun started rising, which is extremely early this time of the year.

All in all, a good value for the price. There was significant road construction that made access to the hotel a challenge for cabs/Uber drivers, and this inconvenience created other challenges throughout the stay. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful, and provided plenty of guidance regarding navigating around the challenges of the construction.

Nobody cleaned the room during our stay. For breakfast, they keep running out of coffee and there are not a lot of options such as having only boiled egg. I have never had breakfast after first day. Also, they are handwashing plates, which kind of arising hygiene problems if you ask me.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean but AC was noisy. Continental breakfast was good. We were on the bottom floor and it smelled super humid. I saw dehumidifiers in the hallways but they were not working...

Here is a natural English translation: Due to construction work outside the hotel, we had to carry our luggage from a side parking area to the lobby. There was quite a lot of noise in the hotel because of the construction, but fortunately we were assigned a room in a quieter section. There is no elevator, and no one offered to help carry our luggage to the third floor. The coffee machine in the lobby was not working, although filtered coffee was available. Guests are expected to place their trash bags in the hallway, and the same applies to towels if they want them replaced. As a result, when leaving the room, you encounter garbage bags and used towels from other rooms in the corridor that have not yet been collected. Breakfast is a kind of continental buffet with a limited selection, but it was sufficient for me: toast, hard-boiled eggs, fruit, coffee, and juice. The gym is very poor and dirty. The equipment is low quality, there is very little variety, and the room itself is extremely small. Low signal WiFi in my room, so I didn’t use it at all. In general it was a ok experience but not so good.

Rooms are small and simple, but clean. Bed was too firm for my comfort. Bathtubs are quite small, forget about a bath if you're an adult. Staff was professional and answered questions I had about using public transportation. The big issue is that there is major construction on the street in front of the hotel. Both mornings I was awoken at 7:00am to the entire building shaking. I genuinely thought we were experiencing an earthquake at first. The shaking continued every few minutes for hours. My room was on the back side of the hotel (furthest from the construction) so I can only imagine those closer to the road got worse. I realize the hotel cannot control the construction, but I was given no warning about it. At the very least I feel that I should have been warned about the building shaking early in the morning.
