I chose this hotel because its location seemed ideal, as my main goals were to see whale sharks in Oslob and tarsiers in Bohol. It's about a 30-minute ride from the airport to the final bus terminal on MY BUS, and then a 5-minute walk to the hotel. The closest entrance is via the walkway between SM Mall and the hotel. The path is wide enough to roll a suitcase. There are only a few steps to enter the hotel grounds. It's less than a 10-minute drive to the ferry terminal for Bohol. Oslob is a 3-hour drive away. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its proximity to SM Mall. It has everything you need: a supermarket, food court, restaurants, fast food, etc. It closes at 9 PM. It's quite large, so it's easy to get lost. Positive points: good security, helpful staff, comfortable beds in the rooms, strong shower pressure, and good drainage. Negative points: the pool was under renovation and unavailable, there were no bathrobes, and the breakfast fruit selection was small. The minibar has everything from wine to soft drinks, and they're all well chilled. I didn't use the restroom as I could buy plenty of supplies at the supermarket in the adjacent SM Mall. In fact, I felt it was better not to have it, as it freed up space in the refrigerator. Mineral water was replenished daily. Room cleaning could be ordered with a button in the room, which was great. The room size was also sufficient. The location, hospitality, cleanliness, and lack of age make it a wonderful hotel. The only downside was that I couldn't use the pool. I went to a nearby hotel pool. The first was the Quest Hotel near Ayala Mall, which cost about 1500 yen per person with one drink included. The other was the Western Lagoon Hotel, which cost about 800 yen per person with one drink included. At check-in, the front desk told me it was a "room only" plan. However, I had booked a plan with breakfast included through the app, and showing them my reservation confirmation changed it to include breakfast. Just in case, have something that shows your reservation details ready. SUPERIOR ROOM 3 nights March 2026
