Very nice hotel

The hotel, which is a casual, 10 minute walk from the train station, offers a lot for different travellers. If arriving by car, parking is available on premises. The property was very clean and welcoming, as was the staff. The swimming pool is lovely, large, and has two Jacuzzi sections attached to it and there are pool side beds and seats for relaxing. One has to bring their own towel or rent a towel as the property does not want clients using room towels. The hotel has a great breakfast replete with a human barista. I did not eat in the restaurant other than the breakfast but lunch and dinner are available within certain hours. The walk to the beach from the property takes about 30 minutes. This allows one to enjoy the quaintness of Tropea while walking slowly. If someone struggles with stairs, a car can be hired to deliver one to the beach or one can enjoy the pool as the beach can only be reached by doing stairs. Rooms were clean and relatively large by Italian standards although the shower stall would be a challenge for non, height and weight proportioned people. There is also a small exercise centre on premises for a surcharge of €2/visit. I would stay again, and recommend this property without reservation for what it offers.

Room was extremely hot and air conditioning hardly worked at all. Had to sleep sideways in front of the air to sleep at all. Not a great experience

Clean and convenient

The hotel was very well maintained. The room was clean, had refrigerator and nice shower . The staff is very friendly and efficient. The hotel situated on the top of the hill about 10 minutes walking from the center, 15 minutes walking from the beach, and 6 minutes walking from the train station. There are tons of great restaurants in the center. I booked this hotel because the website states that it has pool and sauna, The pool was great and clean, but I found out that If you want to use sauna, you have to pay for it separately €20/40minutes, also the use of the beach towel is €3 per use. If you want to use shuttle to the beach it is €20 at scheduled times. Breakfast was great, but would not recommend it for dinner. I only booked dinner one time, because they had local musicians playing Calabrian music. The music and performance were great, but the food tasted like warmed up frozen dinners and wine was not included in the price of the dinner (€35). They have good variety of massages and almost everyday, as an addition include complimentary mini facial , I think the name of the massage girl was Vincenza, she was really great. You just have to book your appointment at the front desk during morning time. Overall great hotel, would stay here again.

Excellent hotel second time staying here. Close to everything.

Overall, we had a good experience here. One problem was the shower size. It was very tiny. Maybe 3 ft by 3 ft. Also, it's not a flat walk to the city center. Expect to walk up and down the hill. We're in good physical shape so the walk was not bad at all, but if you need assistance or a wheel chair, this could be a problem.

Good location, a 3 minute walk to downtown. The included parking is convenient since it is otherwise difficult to park in the area. Watch out for traffic if walking out of the property, specially with children, since it is near a busy intersection with no walkway. Property has a restaurant and a nice swimming pool. Good view of downtown from the top. Staff was attentive and helpfull.

Hotel Tropis is great! It is clean and the rooms.are comfortable. 4 minute walk to train station. Short walk to city centre and the beach. The pool is great and relaxing environment. The breakfast has everything, and the staff is very nice. Absolutely loved, I would definitely return.

Great location just steps away from the main walkway through the town of Tropea. Quiet, nice pool, variety of food at breakfast and pleasant staff!! Would stay here again and recommend to my friends in Canada.🇨🇦

The hotel accommodation was above my expectations. Beautiful views. Small town with a lot of beautiful people.

Hotel Tropis is nicely located with an easy walk down to old town Tropea. Room was nice, but a bit outdated. The view was good. The property was clean. Areas for improvement include coffee makers in the room because you could only get coffee from the barista when dining area was open. The service staff were great, but the front desk staff were rude. The food was OK — not great. As a resort, there really was nothing “resort” about it. They proposed charging a “resort fee,” plus charging for pool towels and charging to use the gym. If it is a resort, then all of those items should not have a charge. The parking was available, but not convenient. The gym is absolutely the worst. The location is a closed-off basement with no sunshine; the equipment is old; and in order to access it you need the front desk to come with you to let you in.

This hotel is located just outside of the town center. It is about a three minute walk to the middle of Tropea. The hotel is very nice and well-maintained, it has a large pool and is very quiet.
