Good check in and clean comfortable room. Good breakfast service as well. Was called the day before to check evening meal requirements as the restaurant closed at 8. Beautiful location by the lake

The public areas are lovely - the space in front of the mansion, the breakfast/restaurant room with amazing views over the lake. It has lots of history, and the lobby is typically Swedish in its effortless cool. The room was a little less impressive. For the cost it was basically two adjoining conference rooms with very little in the way of comfort, and a very small, disappointingly dated bathroom. The view from the window was pleasant enough, over the road, but the building was incredibly poor in terms of soundproofing. The crystal clear sound of the resident above in the midst of his extraordinarily long urinations was just one of the sounds we really didn't need to hear. Again, the public areas in these buildings (all conference spaces) were well-furnished and geared up to team-building, it would seem. I would imagine there are a lot of such events through the year, and in July, when most businesses in Sweden are not operating anywhere near capacity, the hotel has more 'regular' guests. It would be good if there was a little more effort made for these guests, given the lovely location of the mansion. It is what attracted us, but really, what we got was an hour of that for breakfast, and a 1980s/90s conference space for the rest of the time. There wasn't even an outside space in our 'block', although one block did have one. That would be a pleasant and easily made addition to each block - the rooms are pretty small, so anything extra would be a bonus.

Close to Gothenburg; and a really nice overnight stay. We were there midweek, so it wasn't busy. Our room was in a separate building opposite the old manor house and was very comfortable, A fantastic Swedish breakfast after a good sleep and then our trip further north into Sweden continued.

We loved the setting. Very pretty and peaceful. We had a nice open lounge area to use to watch a larger flat screen tv and could plays games, pool and darts. Nice and toasty warm on a rainy day.

This hotel is probably more catered towards conferences. On the evening of stay there was a BBQ planned for a meal. Breafast was good and the room was good.

Very nice place to stay, fantastic views over the lake and a very quiet location. Unfortunately it’s a short walk to any other places to eat so the only option is to eat in the hotel which is costly but worth it! Blinds and drapes meant it was impossible to black out the room in the day to sleep so if you are a light sleeper or adjusting for time zones it might be difficult. Great walks around the area, with ‘beach’ areas to stop and soak up the Swedish sunshine!

I'd love to give this place a great review because on paper it is an ideal place to stay. The main building, gardens and setting are all lovely but unfortunately they are undone by lack of attention to detail. The room itself was clean but I never felt comfortable in it. Admittedly I was in a room (417) in the hotel annexe but at £95 a throw I have some basic requirements for a business use hotel. Firstly, the wifi must be great and in this case it was almost unusable. It needs sorting out. Secondly, there were no coffee making facilities in the room. I thought this was pretty standard these days in a £95 room. They need to provide this. Thirdly, the restaurant menu was a fixed meal, one starter, one main and one dessert. There was no price on the menu and you have no alternative in any case. After a 300km, 31/2 hour drive I expect to be able to choose my own food. I just started a job which involves a lot of travelling and having spent 15 nights in hotels in the last 5 weeks this is the first place I would be reluctant to stay in again. If they sort out the wifi I can accommodate the other issues now that I know about them. Otherwise not. On the day after my stay I used the hotel to host a business meeting and have lunch. The staff were attentive and courteous. Just sort the wifi out guys!

Staff were friendly, lovely location, nice and quiet but!! no tea making facilities in room, breakfast was 7-9 too early to be finishing, Restaurant only had a choice of 2 hot meals or sandwich, so you need a car if you want to go out and eat (Lerum centre), and checkout is at 09:00 ok if you have an early flight home. I felt that this hotel is focused more on conference's than travellers.
