Friendly staff, hotel located in a great position for the town and travelling

Well positioned in the town. Impressive looking building, lovely vibe inside and gorgeous outdoor seating area. We were staying in room 12 which is very small. It was a hot night, so the room was baking, hence we had the window open but a gang of 12-15 pigeons live (noisily) just outside the window! The windowsill was covered in bird poo which was not nice. Shower great and nice to have an Nespresso machine and complimentary water. Bed and pillows too soft for me, but personal choice.

The room is generally very clean, and the bathroom is nice. The staff are very helpful, and the food is excellent. The location is good, with easy parking and convenient stores nearby.

The George Townhouse was surprisingly fantastic. We loved our brief stay. The only thing we found it a little hot. If we were there for longer we’d have asked about fans but the staff were so helpful I’m sure they’d have arranged something. Definitely recommend staying here.

This is a nice place to stay. The staff were lovely and the room was what it says, a comfort room. The shower was brilliant. Nice and spacious with lots of powerful hot water.

1階がレストラン兼パブなので、夜も困らない。また、ホテルのスタッフ兼店員さんも対応が良かった。美男美女多めかな 部屋も1人では十分な大きさ。シャワーも十分くらい強くてよかった。 温熱タオル掛けが熱々で暖房効果で洗面室が暑かったけど、ずっといるわけではないので問題なかった。

Had a lovely stay at George townhouse. Rooms were lovely and was nice that the room was freshened up even though we were only there 2 nights. We had dinner here and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel in a lovely village. Parking was easy and our room was beautiful. The roll top bath featured in our room felt luxurious.

Had a nice night at the George. Staff in the pub and restaurant were great. The room was large and comfortable. Bed was huge. Managed to park opposite on the public pay& display but parking could be an issue

Overall, the stay was good but the room could’ve been more clean - the room wasn’t hoovered throughout our stay, and if it was, it wasn’t to a good degree. The room also felt dusty. We did raise this with staff, and they were very apologetic but when we returned back to the room the following day, the room was tidy but it was obvious that the carpet wasn’t hoovered. The location was good, and in addition to the car park, there were free car parks a few minutes walk away which was very beneficial. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Based on the cleanliness of the room, I wouldn’t stay again but for the pricing, staff and location, I’d definitely consider it.

Warm welcome, clean room with all the amenities you expect from a top hotel.Plenty of choice for evening dinner and at the bar with a good atmosphere and great staff.A really pleasant short stay.
