Lovely place, food and staff.

This is really lovely guesthouse located above the North Beach in Scarborough. We were warmly welcomed by Jill on our arrival. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a sea-view room which is well worth paying the extra for with views down to the beach in one direction and up to the castle in the other. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice and the staff were very nice and helpful. You can easily walk to a wide choice of restaurants within 10 minutes as well as down to the main town and both beaches.

Beautiful but compact room.We stayed in the small double as it was the only one left available when we booked, but perfect for a nights stay. The room had everything you would need and more including dressing gowns and a fan for warmer nights The breakfast was one of the best that we've had in a long time. The scrambled egg and smoked salmon was exceptional. We will definitely be back but would look at a Seaview room and a few more nights.

Location is great, very near the city centre and close to the sea. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The property’s lovely and welcoming. Room was clean and the bed had good quality linen. Modern bathroom which was also spotless. All round a great stay!

Our room overlooked the sea and the views were terrific. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the decor and furnishings were high quality. The breakfast was tasty and very fresh. The staff were attentive and friendly. A great place to stay.

Of course, great views from the front. Watching sunrise and Sunset colours across the sky were amazing. The decor of the hotel is lovely and our bedroom was quite pleasant. Shower is adequate a large double bed in the front bedroom made the room rather small. Not everybody wants a full breakfast and there needs to be some provision of just toast and coffee with a subsequent change in price.

We had a brilliant time and the staff were wonderful! Very well maintained hotel, excellent breakfast, and a wonderful view. The staff gave us some local tips, and sorted out our parking permit. Less than a ten minute walk from the town centre and castle, so we'll be staying here again!

A really lovely, intimate place to stay. The breakfast was excellent and good quality & portion. The overall standard was very good, and the staff were especially friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Would definitely recommend for a relaxed, comfortable stay.

Top staff quality breakfast and sea view

Beautiful modern and spotless room. We arrived early and could check in earlier than we thought as the room was ready. Tom, the owner was so helpful and the hotel’s duty manager was attentive and nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent welcome, freshly cooked breakfast, beautifully clean room with sea view. Could just have done with a power socket next to the bed, otherwise perfect.
