Easy in and out. Clean and plenty of hot water with good pressure.

The rooms are very clean, the receptionist was professional and amiable, he make us feel welcome and relax. The pool installations are beautiful. Highly recommend the Zar.

When I arrived the desk clerk ignored me, he was shuffling papers, saw me and offered no greeting. I greeted him and put my passport on the counter. He said just a minute and continued with his paperwork. When he finally acknowledged me he told me he did not have my reservation. I told him I made it through Expedia. He said, "We are not Expedia." I said, "No but you are the Zar Hotel Colima. You are on Expedia and that is how I booked my reservation." He then found the reservation. The room was OK for a side of the highway hotel. We had two beds and were given two towels. No hand towel. The parking is ample and the grounds are lovely. There is a sweet little pool around back too. The hitel has no good service at night and there is nothing in walking distance. We had not esten since morning so we ordered food from Uber around 6:45 pm and it was delivered promptly. The hotel is very convenient for people traveling from Guadalajara or Ciudad Guzman and going through Colima as it's right on the side of the highway at the northern entrance to Colima so there is no need to actually enter Colima city streets. They seemed to be serving some sort of a light continental breakfast in the morning, but we didn't bother with it. We just got back on the road and headed for the beach.

They don’t have hot water for shower especially after 8 PM.. and the last night we don’t have any power and obviously the AC wasn’t working. When we want to ask the front desk, they say they don’t have power . but the point is why they do have a power . member of my family, was in the other room and they don’t have a hot water either.

Water sing damage and the floor damage too some parts and too much noise too the customers and before rent room including good breakfast and now is separated and not good breakfast thas may last time rent this hotel

I had two Pay twice because the property didn’t get the payment from Expedia. No smart tv, dirty swimming pool, far away from The city. Hope to get my money back soon from Expedia.

The grounds are beautiful, and the swimming pool area is very secluded and well landscaped. The hotel is under major renovation, and it is looking pretty good. The breakfast lady is very kind and friendly, and the food is just OK. The front desk staff tends to be indifferent, and not very friendly. I have stayed here before, and there always seems to be an issue with turning the television on and using the control. It has been this way for a year. Overall, I would give this hotel, a good rating, and I will definitely stay here again.

Pick someplace else if you don’t want to be extorted for more money and have your bags held as ransom to get you to pay their hidden charges for tourists.

These criminals extorted additional money and held her luggage as ransom to get her to pay. Stay away from these unscrupulous business people who have hidden charges to grab additional fees after you prepay with Orbitz.
