The exterior of the building looks a bit run down, but other than that a really lovely hotel in a quiet rural location. The room was spacious, modern and clean. The restaurant served delicious food with very generous portions. Quiet outdoor seating area with lovely views. Would definitely recommend

Everything perfect but we happened to stay at hottest days of the year and no AC , still that doesn’t happen very often.

The Crossways is an updated building. Regrettably there is no lift and a narrow staircase which makes taking heavy cases upstairs difficult. We had a problem with our room but what makes me give this hotel a 5 star rating was their service recovery was brilliant. The team are very friendly and my Venison Pie for dinner was excellent. Top marks to our waiter who when an item was sold out apologised so well and convinced me to have the Venison pie. The young team member who served breakfast was very friendly and the food hot and excellent. The management are to be congratulated on employing such excellent team members.

Great venue and lovely staff. Good food with a Nepalese section. This is our 6th stay and we'll be back. Very convenient for Bath and West showground.

There were only a few people staying so our room was upgraded which was nice. Staff friendly. Parking good. Bar seemed well stocked. The meal was good. We had roast dinners and couldn’t eat it all. Breakfast was quite good but the cooked breakfast was a little too dry. Downsides 1. There was a constant loud humming noise in the room. No idea what it was. 2. A fire alarm went off for ages at about 4am. It was very loud. No phone call. No knock on the door. No explanation. No apologies. After the first one it went off another 3 or 4 times. 3. I messaged the hotel about the alarm and the humming noise. No response

Lovely large bedrooms and spotlessly clean. I didn’t eat at hotel but husband and children said food in evening was average but a nice breakfast with lots of choice.

Bar had lots of choices. The room was clean, although the bin hasn't been emptied. Comfy bed and a good working shower and bathroom. Very friendly staff. Breakfast could do with fresh fruit, most is out of tins.
