We traveled to Drobak to visit the Christmas house/Christmas festivities. The town was very quiet as it was mid week. There were not many Christmas decorations in the town, but the hotel was gorgeous, beautifully decorated and the staff was unsurpassed. It was an easy walk from the hotel to everywhere in town. The beautiful restaurant served the best food I’d had since starting our travels 3 weeks prior through Belgium, France and Germany. The room was small but adequate and very cozy.

Located very close to the Oslo Ford this charming hotel has an Art Deco vibe, the dining hall as an opulent decor and while I only stayed for breakfast, what I ate was excellent. At first I thought the lift looked old and I had an initial distrust of its abilities, but that was before I realised I was staying in a themed hotel and while lifts probably weren’t around in the 1940’s (perhaps they were?) it fitted in with the general vibe perfectly. I could see that there were conference facilities which were in use the whole time of my stay. The only minor gripe, a usb charging point in the bedroom would have been handy, even if it was one accessible from the back of the tv. I know I could have bought an adapter, but I’m kind of used to a USB point being available. I would definitely return for another stay. I also found Drøbak as a place utterly charming.

The bedroom was a little tired, but OK. The staff were excellent and so friendly/helpful. Homemade cookies were the treat of the day. Lovely little town!

1. Hotel itself was charming, especially the bar and dining area. Breakfast was great. 2. Our room was small, not furnished for us to unpack our suitcases, so we had to pull them out every day to get our clothes; the closet was dark and inconvenient. 3. The room had no ventilation, and the small refrigerator contributed to the heat. When we opened the windows to cool down, the noise outside was too loud. Upon request, the staff did provide a desk fan, which helped. 4. It was Summer, so the sun was up most of the night. Again, the staff provided darkening curtains upon our request, but why did we have to ask? 5. The bathroom had minimal shelving, so we moved the luggage rack into the bathroom to place our toiletries. And the bathtub had no non-slip mat or safety bars for us seniors. I shared my concerns when we checked out with the hope some of these issues will be corrected for the next guests.

The staff was excellent and very friendly. I would stay at this hotel every time I come to Norway. It’s right down the street from the water and was so serene and peaceful.

Friendly staff, nice hotel good breakfast. The parking is a little bit small. There are a few places on the side of the hotel ( never get one of those because I was working late) and a few in the back. Those one are on a steep slope and when you get out you have to do it in reverse and on a slope.... Nice and quiet area.

there was really nothing special about the hotel, the food, the staff everything was just how it's supposed to be. they did everything yo would expect a hotel to do, the sty was pleasant and nice. we very much enjoyed our short visit.

I love this hotel. The staff are local, friendly and hospitable. They accommodated our needs for the week and had helpful suggestions. The room was perfect for our needs and the breakfast was great. With family in the area, Reenskaug has become a home away from home.

We went to Drobak to see the fort that saw action in WWII. Great town on the Oslo Fjord and the weather was perfect. They don't see many Americans there and people we talked to were nice. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Lite rom med dårlig ventilasjon. Måtte ha alle vinduer åpne. Men så var det veldig høy musikk fra baren og folk som satt i hagen utenfor baren og rett under rommet vårt! Musikken holdt på til kl 02.30! Litt slitsomt når vi skulle tidlig opp! Fint i baren men rommene var dårlige! Bør få seg aircondition og oppgradere lii!

Hadde et veldig fint opphold . Personalet var hjelpsomme og serviceinstilte . Atmosfæren var helt super . Mange fine butikker og fine gåturer i herlige omgivelser . Kan virkelig anbefale dette hotellet .

Vi ble tatt imot av et utrolig trivelig personale i en mørk og elegant lobby, og vi fikk både kaffe og litt å bite i på vei opp til rommene. Hovedbygget til dette bittelille, sjarmerende hotellet er stor og elegant, mens delen hvor rommene ligger er eldre, enklere og mer slitt. Vi hadde et veldig trivelig opphold, og utendørsområdet som vender ut mot gaten er også et veldig hyggelig sted å oppholde seg i finvær.

Trangt rom, overmøblert

Gammelt ærverdig hotell med perfekt beliggenhet nær butikker og sjøen! Meget hyggelig og serviceinnstilt personale. Deilig frokostbuffet. Restauranten kan også anbefales på det varmeste!

Nydelig beliggenhet, lobby og restaurant. Men det stoppet der. Rommet var dessverre svært dårlig vedlikeholdt. Vi hadde en så og si søvnløs natt. Utrolig varm og stillestående luft. Vi forsøkte å lufte for harde livet fra ankomst til avreise. Men vinduene var knøttsmå og gjorde liten nytte. Vi sa i fra i resepsjonen, men fikk bare beskjed om at de var klar over problemet og skulle kjøpe inn vifter etter hvert. Dette ble en dyr og ugrei opplevelse, dessverre.

Koselig hotell, hyggelig betjening, og helt utmerket frokost. Anbefales.

Hyggelig og avslappende hotel. Perfekt lokasjon for å koble litt av i en travel hverdag. Mye forskjellig og god mat i ummidelbar nærhet. Spesielt gode senger :-)
