Historical 18th century building. Part of Udaipur history. Good hospitality . Ok food. Breakfast included and well made. 4 or 5 choices. Sewage smell in the room and lobby .Nearby construction . Room windows opened to a 5. 4 shut permanently. 1 opened to a white wall in .. No view at all of roads or lake Pichola from some rooms in the hotel. 2 Ms day occupancy was 5/35.. they could have upgraded me to a room with a view. They didn’t.

The amenities listed on the website were not available at the property. The Expedia website states that there is parking available. But when I reached near the property I found out that cars cannot get to 2 mile radius of the property. They have a boat available which you can use only during check in and check out. Otherwise there is no way venture out of the hotel on other days. Cars/taxis/auto/bike nothing comes to 2 mile radius of the property. There is no option but to walk. Also internet is very bad. So no connection to outside world. No internet no transportation.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Jagat. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel has a nice rooftop setting.

The stay was pleasant and memorable. The location of the stay is in the heart of Udaipur and thus makes it a great choice. The property is well maintained. On top of everything, the service is a show stealer.

This is a lovely hotel right at the main lake of Udaipur. It is an oasis in the bustling city. My room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful Dinner on the open roof-top is a real treat.

Beautiful hotel and views of Lake Picola. However staff were not friendly at all and when asking questions, were quite abrupt

The ambience and the feel is great but the restaurant service was of low standards . Most of the staff in the restaurant seem very unhappy with few of them smiling . For a boutique restaurant this is not acceptable

Generally very good, and an unbeatable central location. Things that could have been even better: - the wi-fi was a bit patchy - the breakfast was sub-standard for a hotel of this calibre (stale pastries, choice of just 2 flavours of bottled - not fresh - fruit juice,...) - the hot water wasn't centralised, just a heater for each room, meaning limited capacity (perhaps centralised hot water isn't possible in India due to there being no gas pipes for a boiler)

it is a very very white and beautifull structure... with a marvellous view on the Pichola lake... Jagas Niwas Palace is the best hotel around the Pichola lake... the Shiv Nivas Palace was not up to our Expectations.. Lucky the Jagas Niwas Palace, showed us some pictures of the Pichola area view from their Terrace... BEAUTIFULL PROPERTY.

Our stay here was great—the hotel is beautiful inside with a great view of the lake even if you don't have a lake-facing room. It's a great vibe for a great satay in Udaipur. The place is clean and the staff is helpful.

It was dirty - bugs everywhere. My room was dark and dank and there were small flying bugs all over the floor and bed. The restaurant had dirty tablecloths and more flying bugs everywhere.

One of my best hotel stay in this year. Hotel location excellent facing beautiful lake pichola. All staff very friendly and helpfull.

This hotel was one of our first experiences in India and it couldn't be better! The location is perfect in every sense - central but tucked away from the chaos of the busy narrow streets and overlooking the lake. Very tranquil and also helped with amazing food!

An oasis of calm and beauty in this lovely town. Beautiful rooms - really gorgeous! And restaurants overlooking the lake - it couldn't have been more wonderful. It is the most delightful town bustling with energy and colour - one of my favourites in India. And this is a really lovely hotel. Try to get a Lake view room - although the others are very nice too

This hotel turned out to be amazing! The rooms are great! We had a ground floor room and the views of the lake were amazing! The sunset and sunrise from the room is just epic! The food was great! The location is oerfect if you want to visit city palace. Its less than five minutes from the hotel. Glad we stayed here!

Jagat Niwas hotel é fantástico, lindo, limpissimo e aconchegante, so um item deixa a desejar, o café da manhã no sistema prato feito é bem racionado. Fora isso tudo o mais é nota dez.

The location & view from the hotel is impressive! We absolutely loved the sunsets from atop the restaurant. The hotel staff was kind, responsive and respectful. Room could have a better view (ours was facing the wall, with pigeons around) - could change the window location. Veg food options, specifically for Indian food is limited but tasty. Overall, would highly recommend this place.
