Very convenient location near Kaohsiung train station. The room and bathroom are old, but the water pressure is good and the water is hot. The staff are excellent, and the housekeeping staff on this floor is fantastic and accommodating. If you don't need luxury, I recommend this place. It's just a place to rest after a day of sightseeing. It's also convenient for getting to the airport, has many restaurants nearby, and a 7-Eleven on every corner.

Not recommend, terrible terrible terrible! The price that we booked can get a better hotel, very expensive and this hotel very old and feel uncomfortable to stay. At the end they change a room for us, but nothing different, only air conditioner colder than the previous room🥲. The only things good is the Hotel Reception person.

Clean, the room is cleaned every day, there are full towels, toothbrush, shampoo, shower gel... The hotel is located on the street front, there are 2 convenient supermarkets 7/11. opposite two sides of the road. The front of the hotel is opposite the Kaohsiung metro station...In short, it is recommended to stay here!

The hotel is quite old, but the rooms are spacious, each floor has a small reception desk, there is a water dispenser on each floor, right at Kaohsiung station so it is convenient to travel. If you are not too picky about rooms, you can consider staying here.

This is the 30 years old building, but all the staffs are very kind and helpful, opposite the hotel is MRT and Railway station is very convenient for those free and easy travelers if they don't mind about the fittings and fixtures.

Modern Plaza Hotel, your name maybe accurate 30 years ago - 1989? (sigh) I am really disappointed. And this review is for awareness of people who's looking for a hotel stay in Kaoshiung. This just happened last Feb 16, 2019. We checked late at night around 9pm already. I booked through Traveloka at 2,000 pesos / 1,200 NT / 40 USD for 1 night stay. The hotel's ceiling in each floor is low. Maybe just good for a 6' guy. The hallway is a bit creepy, like you gonna see a ghost in one of the opened rooms along the way. Again, the hotel is very oldies. The room that was given to us don't have AC. It's dirty and smells like cigarette. To my severe disappointment, I attempted to call the reception through the landline inside the room. Not a surprise, it's not working. And so, I went to the lobby. I told them, "why our room don't have AC and it's dirty." The guy replied, "you don't like the room?" Ofcourse I replied, "yes." He then offered us a better room. But still not worth the price I paid for. AC is very noisy. Toilet is stinky, fridge is ew. We just have no choice but to stay and accept the 2nd room that was given to us because it's late at night already. It's up to you if you gonna book this hotel. But I tell you, you gonna be disappointed asf.

The hotel is old but quite clean and near the train station, the owner is very helpful, quite satisfied.

Place breakfastnya in mcdonal out of the hotel must walk about 500m. Enter the train station, go up and down the railway ladder to arrive at mcdonal. And the food is limited to 1burger and 1 coffee.

This hotel is just across Kaohsiung train station. It takes only 5 minutes to go to the hotel. But the breakfast is only McDonald voucher. A glass of coffee and a burger.
