Just wonderful. Beautiful traditional elegant inn with old school Japanese omotenashi. Loved the warmth of the staff. Service was top notch without being pretentious. Unreal location near everything.

Extraordinary stay at a beautiful place, one of the most wonderful I have veer experienced. Staff is warm but professional. The room was so beautiful. We had one with a patio overlooking the rotating bridge (and got the chance to see it!).The onsen(we only tried for women) was beautiful and had everything you need. Food was absolutely delicious. Truly a special place, I am blessed to have had 2 days stay here.

my husband and I had a relaxing vacation mode at this comfy Japanese tradition onsen ryokan. The staff were very kind & nice, the breakfast & dinner set were delicious. The onsen area was very clean and onsen temperature was very comfortable.

I recently stayed at this beautiful ryokan and was thoroughly impressed. While the building is historic, it is classic and impeccably maintained, offering a charm you just can’t find in modern hotels. The onsen facilities were a highlight—incredibly relaxing and the perfect way to unwind. The location is also unbeatable, situated right next to Chionji Temple and the scenic beach walking path. We opted for the meal package, and it was a highlight of our trip; both breakfast and dinner were delicious and clearly prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the staff. They were incredibly kind, courteous, and went out of their way to answer every question we had. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

The hotel is in a perfect setting to enjoy Amanohashidate with a temple only meters from the property and adjacent to and overlooking the famous swing bridge that leads onto the famous stretch of land. The staff were very kind and helpful and the food was outstanding. Highly recommended.

Lovely decorated ryokan, but no lift to the rooms. Rooms were very nicely equipped even though it was not large. My room windows faced the river with the “rotating” bridge over the river to Amanohashidate, the view was very nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great, next to the area’s main attraction. Some shopping on the road leading to ryokan, the Kaiseki meals were well presented. Delicious meal even with the ingredients not top grade.

Lovely old ryokan by the river overlooking the turning bridge and the start of the Amanohasidate trail, right besides the Choin-ji. Staff who spoke little English were fabulous. The onside Onsen is small but nice. Room had minimal facilities but decent size. The half board breakfast and kaiseki dinners were high quality. Recommended.

Stayed for 1 night and everything was nice. Expected to arrive late due to flight delay and they still served us dinner. A staff picked us up at the train station though it’s only a few minutes walk. The dinner and breakfast are the best I’ve ever had in Japan. The property is spacious and clean. All staff are nice and friendly. Would love to stay there again in the future.

The greeting was wonderful with tea and dessert upon check in. Completely Japanese style and the staff was amazing. They took the time to explain a little bit what we could do around town and provided advice on going out at night. The whole thing was beyond our expectations. Totally recommend it if you want to escape from all foreign tourists (including ourselves, lol). We had everything we needed in our room.

This is our honeymoon trip to Kyoto and we would definitely come back again in this onsen hotel. We arrived around 6pm on our check in day and we got all wet by walking from the train station under the rain. The keeper immediately handed over a warm towel and hot tea to us and another keeper was handling and drying our luggage. It was very good caring impression. We updated our dinner for grilled crab for only 2000yen extra. It was a delicious. Since we really like the Japanese Menu we requested the keeper to write our name and wedding trip in japanese for our souvenir. On our check out day, the hotel present us with a wedding gift. It was very kind. This is the best onsen hotel out of three traditional onsen hotels we stayed in of our honeymoon trip.
