From the moment you walk into reception you are met by friendly, helpful and professional staff. Hotel and rooms furnished to a very high standard. Food superb and reasonably priced. Hotel set in beautiful surroundings.

Great little find for myself and husband for his birthday. Really friendly staff, lovely clean room and good food and drink options. Leads directly into the forest which was lovely, a five min walk down to the village for a pint and a wonder round! Definitely will stay again

Family of 4 (2 and 5yrs old) Lovely hotel, very welcoming, clean and has a homely feel to it.

On our first night the staff alerted us to an issue with our beautiful room and we were moved into a much smaller, cramped, too warm and very noisy room for the night. I'd booked for my Husband's birthday so this was very upsetting. The hotel staff were extremely kind and apologetic, gave us a complimentary gift for the evening and explained their hands were tied but we couldn't help to be disappointed. In the morning at breakfast one of the team came to us and again apologised, offered us a beautiful room upgrade for the rest of our stay and more complimentary items and made sure we were extremely well looked after throughout the rest of our stay. We did not complain once, we had no need to, this was simply the wonderful staff going above and beyond throughout our stay. We absolutely will be back in the future. The food, atmosphere and surroundings are all just so lovely and we could not find a fault if we tried. Thank you so much to all of the lovely staff.

Great hotel, didn’t disappoint at all. All staff were very welcoming, friendly and approachable. Rooms are newly refurbed. Will definitely stay again when we return to this area.

Really enjoyed our recent stay at the Moorhill House, the newly refurbished dining and bar area is so relaxing and looks lovely. The new owners have done a wonderful job and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. It was not our first visit and definitely won’t be the last.

Beautiful hotel with no expense spared on recent fit out with great furnishings. Very comfortable hotel with fantastic staff who's attention to detail is fantastic. I mentioned at lunch that I was Coeliac and laster when we checked in to our room gluten free biscuits were placed on the tea tray. A small detail but I have never experianced this before in an hotel. The food in the restaurant is also first class. Unfortunately we were unable to return on Sunday for lunch as it was fully booked!

Just had a superlative stay at this recently refurbished hotel. We were awoken in our charming, comfortable and individual room to deers and donkeys running around in the ground. The public rooms are gorgeous, so much love and taste has gone into designing it and it seems like all the staff genuinely love working here, they are happy and keen to help. The value for money is outstanding. Perfect!

Recently refurbished so that was nice . We thought all the staff were really friendly and professional to both humans and dogs . It was nice that the team at the hotel all pulled together , conversed with the guests and looked good in their uniforms. We have no qualms about saying Book ! you will love it - its a very welcoming place in the middle of the forest.
