The hotel does not have A/C and I stayed during a record-breaking heat wave. I was fortunate to have a room with adjacent windows, and the room had a good fan. Munford is a quiet town, and I was able to leave the windows open at night and get a good night's sleep. I imagine some of the other rooms were less comfortable than mine due to the extreme heat. They have a nice made to order breakfast and there is a delightful pub in the hotel which offers good quality but typical pub meals.

The Crown Hotel is in a quiet village. The name Hotel possibly leads you to believe something different to what this place is. That's not a moan but I would think more like B & B above a lovely old pub. The room was up 2 flights of stairs. Don't expect air conditioning but it did have a fan, blinds, curtains and windows so even though it was 28/29 degrees the room was still cool. The shower was excellent. I would take your own shower gel because although you are provided with a small sachet of body wash it may not be enough for some.
All in all the room had all of the basics that you need.
The food here is wonderful and plentiful. Breakfast was a stand out for us. The lady serving was friendly and we liked the fact that we had our toast while we were waiting for our cooked breakfast. The food was locally sourced and the sausage in particular was great. Well done to the Chef's 👨🍳👩🍳
We had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend if you are in the area. 😊

Great food, reasonably priced. Bonus was the breakfast started at 6am as we needed to leave before 7am each morning.

Such a surprisingly large pub and accommodation with plenty of parking. The Crown is a very interesting pub built into a hill so multi level. Staff were very polite and helpful.
