We stayed in Anchorage 8 and feel that it was very falsely advertised. The map on Hotels.com showed that it was situated in the resort area and the description had it 2min walk to Catseye beach and 5min walk to the Marina and it was advertised as an Aparthotel. When we arrived and received our golf cart (which we didn’t know was included in our booking and we were lucky we hadn’t pre-booked and paid for one) we received a map to our apartment which was situated on top of the hill halfway between the resort and the Marina, a good 5-7min golf cart ride to both the resort and beach and the Marina. This was very disappointing as we had planned most of our activities in the resort and had hoped to just be able to have the freedom of walking. The description also said we had a partial view of the sea but as we were ground floor the only view was of the communal pool and other villas. The apartment was dark and gloomy and had a musty smell every time we entered it and there was evidence of a few water issues. When we opened all the curtains and window shutters we had no privacy. The property is aged, the furniture clean but no basic provisions were there. Normally apartments have a stock of oil, salt, pepper etc that others have left behind but not in this place, not even a small milk as a welcome. Definitely not worth the price tag that we paid. Very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend.
