I finally got to stay at Aston after waiting on the waiting list. Let's start with the good ones!
The location is excellent, not too far from the Padarincang alternative road junction. It's right on the seafront, offering a private beach. The beach is right down from the pool, so it's not a long walk and you can reach the beach and swimming pool. The beach is gently sloping and fenced off, so you don't get big waves, but that's okay. The beach is rocky if you go a little further in (towards the sea gate). So if you want to go in the middle, wear sandals.
The food is quite varied and rather ordinary. We stayed for two nights, the only difference being the side dishes at the buffet. At the buffet, the food is served by the person. There's a wide variety of bakery items, including donuts, bomboloni, pain au chocolate, danish, cinnamon rolls, etc.
Now for the disappointing part: THE ROOM.
The walls are very thin. People running around in the corridors are audible. Coincidentally, when we stayed upstairs and next to it, it was EXACTLY as noisy as it could get. I couldn't sleep with a migraine 😭. Oh yeah, the mattress also sagged a bit, not firm enough. My husband got a neck ache because the soft mattress met the soft pillow.
I'm in room 311. Please inspect the room.
