Honestly, this place was a mixed bag, but overall OK and actually quite good for the price. It was the cheapest option in the area by far, so I was ok with some of the tradeoffs. First, it seems like they have quite a few long-term tenants, which probably speaks more to the overall affordability and housing crises than it does to the hotel. Some things, like their lobby, were renovated and looking great, but other areas, like the balcony flooring were needing repair. They seemed to have only one staff one. He was working his butt off, but because he was alone, he was struggling. Language was also a barrier so I'm sure that made his job harder. My key didn't work, and he couldn't get it working either. He had to come to the room to re-key it, which was weird, and it still didn't work. So I slept there without a key, meaning I was kind of stuck and couldn't leave. He also apologized for extra chairs being in the room- apparently some people had had a poker game there earlier? The room seemed clean, but there was a butt print where someone had sat on the bed. Coupled with the key issue, I was a little weirded out and honestly jammed a chair under the door so I could sleep without worry. Staff was friendly, the bed was reasonably comfortable, and things were largely clean. Overall, I'd stay again for the price, but I wouldn't rush to go back.

Ive stayed here several times in the past. Normally the rooms are in decent shape. Relatively updated and in good repair. I must have gotten a room that hadnt been updated. Paint chips out of the wall, cigg burns on the curtains, shower curtain that probably needed changed. Stains on the chair. It is a budget friendly hotel, but certain things should still be upkept. I stayed there for 3 nights, and also didnt have towels refreshed once or the room made up.

The place is so clean and nice and close to downtown and easy access around shopping centre everything was good so far and for sure we gonna come back again ❤️

It was reasonable, the room was very big, it is at a convenient location, the area was quiet.

The person at the front desk was very helpful, and parking was readily available, which made check-in convenient. However, there were a few issues that could be improved. The staircase had some garbage, the bedsheets had noticeable stains, there was no complimentary water bottle in the room, and no soap was provided in the washroom. These details felt a bit unprofessional. That said, the room was decent overall and served its basic purpose well for a short stay.

The stay at Royal Lodge was pleasant, the staff was wonderful,they didn't bother you at the wrong times , the gentleman came as soon as I called them to fix the problem with the television, great job guys ,keep it up, will recommend to friends and family.

I live the fact that you can park right outside your door.

Absolutely appalled at this place. I wasn't even able to stay here with my children as it felt incredibly unsafe and not clean at all. Walking up to the room there was people smoking inside their rooms with the doors open and multiple people drinking alcohol openly. There was hair in the beds. The remote to the tv didnt have batteries. The fridge made a horrible humming sound.There was mold on the shower curtain. I left and submitted a complaint and request for a refund as we were not able to stay there. I was denied the request by the hotel. Very disappointing. I would not ever recommend to stay here.

The rooms were filthy. There were big chunks of paint missing from the walls. Entrance door had a hole in it. Toilet was full of fecal matter and did not flush. Room had a coffee make but no coffee pot or supplies. Carpet was full of stains, hadn't been cleaned in years. I had booked a room with twin beds, was not available. Downgraded to a single bed room but refused to credit me the price difference. They offered to clean a double room for me in 15 minutes, I was going to drop my suitcase in it but when I saw the condition of the room I refused to ever stay in that room. I was filled with trash, covered in filth and strange substances that I could not identify, would have taken a complete renovation to make the room safe. Staff was useless. I have stayed in hundreds and hundreds of Motels over the years and this was one of the top 3 worst ever.

The unit was well kept cleaned and put together. My only request is that unit needs, is a hot hot plate if staying more than 2 days or especially over 2 days. Otherwise, well set in.

The first room we were shown on the main floor had holes in the walls, dirty sheets, etc. Basically it was disgusting. We asked for a different room and we were shown one on the 2nd floor which was much cleaner. However, there was still full garbages outside and people smoking.

The staff was great and very accommodating! The air conditioning was great and the rooms were clean although a bit rusty and outdated but overall it was pretty goood for the price.

Nasty

The bed was comfy but the room was pretty dirty. Shower curtain was full of black mold for example.

It definitely needs upgrading but over all it’s was ok

Overall, the stay was okay. The motel has a convenient location. However, the bed sheet had a stain on it, and when we tried to find an ice machine, we were told it was broken.

The room smells like cigar. Stained towels and sheet. Carpet too sticky.
