Arrived Christmas Eve to a fabulous warm reception and open fire. Our room was a stately manor room, plenty of space, clean and welcoming with wonderful views over the deer park. Christmas day was great, treats in our room, Santa even visited. Varied choice of food and drink always available. Really friendly staff. The whole manor was decorated beautifully for Christmas without being excessive. This was a perfect getaway in a lovely location.

Hotel staff are great, restaurant staff not as great, menu limited and over priced really for what it was . The room are not looked after neither is the hotel as a whole really . The bathroom shower was far to much for a little bathroom the was fur growing in-between the shower screen and the MDF panelling because of the damp all the MDF was coming apart looking very tired and shabby for what you were paying and the bedroom furniture had seen much better days . But it was clean it's in beautiful grounds a lovely place it just needs a lot of attention.

Stayed in the Deer Hut Feb 26, absolutely stunning! Accommodation was excellent, clean, cosy and comfortable with log fire. Views of the Deer Park were incredible, woke up to Deers and a Stag absolutely beautiful. Staff were lovely and friendly, outstanding service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Food was delicious, had evening meal in the restaurant and a cooked breakfast brought to us in the morning. Highly recommend and will definitely revisit.

We had a really lovely stay overall. The manor house and grounds are absolutely stunning, and the location by the deer park was beautiful. Seeing the deer from our bedroom felt very special and perfect for just before Christmas. Our room was large, quiet and comfortable, and we slept well. While the room was nice, it definitely could have used some TLC and wasn’t quite as polished as the photos on the website. Breakfast was enjoyable, though a few of the cooked dishes felt a bit rushed. We also really appreciated how kind and efficient the team were in posting the couple of items of clothing my husband had forgotten in the room — it was arranged very quickly, which we were grateful for. We stayed via a special deal, so it was much better value for money.
