Clean room , friendly staff , short walk to town centre

The room was clean and ready on time. The breakfast was very good with plenty of options and fresh, also the tables were positioned well so you weren't sat too close to other guests. The bar prices were reasonable and the bar area had plenty of comfortable seating

Breakfast good and rooms excellent

The room I was given was much older than it appeared in the photos. The carpet was not clean, and there was a strong unpleasant smell as soon as I entered the room. The bathtub glass in the bathroom was dirty, with mold covering the edges. The walls in the room were also in poor condition, with peeling paint and visible damage in several areas.

The breakfast was ok normal English breakfast as per any hotel. The problem always is its never hot and this hotel was no different. I wonder when hotels realise that bay Marie or similar do not work. The room was fine but don't like the new idea of no clean rooms, now it's just top ups of what you need

Bar had run out of Guinness on Saturday afternoon, with no delivery until Tuesday. At breakfast they couldn’t cope with the amount of people on this morning. Ran out of pastries. No body wash in shower. Hotel undertaking an extensive makeover would have been nice to be told this when booking as room smelt heavily of paint.

Wonderful staff, big dhout out to the receptionist and Bar staff who looked after us on our stay, highly recommended

Lovely hotel with spacious and quiet rooms.

I have stayed at Cedar Court before and it has generally been fine. This time, however, I booked a Superior room, as usual, but was disappointed to find that the original bathroom (with bath) had been ripped out and replaced by a walk-in shower. I personally prefer a bath, and on enquiring at reception I was told that all the ‘Superior’ rooms have had their baths removed. So if you want a bath, don’t book a ‘Superior’ room. Also, the double bed was strangely uncomfortable, the mattress seemingly not flat and tending to roll us off the sides of the bed. On the positive side, the barman was very helpful!

Staff were welcoming and helpful in every part of the hotel. Our room was spacious, quiet, beautifully clean - and the beds amazingly comfortable. We ate in the bar as the restaurant was already fully-booked, but the food was delicious, beautifully presented, fairly priced & promptly served. Everything great, and the location perfectly central for our visit, right next to the Stray. We will certainly stay again, hopefully. Thank you to all who made us feel so comfortable!

Could not sleep because of noise from drying room, toilet flush was faulty, no night time reception to complain about noise. When i checked out at 05.00am (because of the noise) the man at reception actually laughed at my misfortune, How Rude!! I have been promised my money back and i am still waiting.

For baffling reasons all the three pin plugs are blocked except one by the kettle. There are USB ports but I have a CPAP machine that I need next to my bed. (also my chargers are USB-C - odd that they are moving to USB as everyone else is moving away) Frankly very bad design although they did lend me an industrial extension lead. Also shower head is fixed so does not clean hard to reach places! I do wonder who designs these rooms!

Comfortable stay overall! Spacious, clean room, comfortable queen size bed. All the necessities provided - kettle, sugar, tea bags, coffee sachets, good size of bath tub with body wash, hair dryer, steam iron and love the size of the telly. We went for the Red Letter days luxurious afternoon tea, we loved it! We will be back for sure.

Like the optional room refresh- good ecological thought

The room was adequate but not as pictured online. There were lots of cosmetic defects, damaged paintwork, dirty marks, stains on carpets
