All the staff we dealt with were polite, really helpful and nothing was to much trouble. The room we stayed in was really big, the beds were so comfy. Plenty of parking available. We paid the small amount extra to use the pool, steam room, sauna & jacuzzi, which we concidered good value for money. We also paid extra for the breakfast, which again was good value, with lots of choice. In the bistro you can have a choice of two main meals (excluding the steak, to be fair of which i wasn't bothered as i don't like steak), but plenty of other choices, together with a bottle of house wine for £39.95, we decided to opt for this, we were a bit wary as often house wines are not always the best, however one of the choices was a rose zifandel, which was really nice, again, good value for money. Excellent weekend & would definately come back.

We only stayed the 1 night as we were attending a wedding nearby, quick efficient and pleasant on checkin, room was clean and sufficient for our stay, would definitely stay again if I needed to be in the area.

We are regular guests and although the comfort of the mattresses vary from room to room and no one would disagree the shower valves are past their prime, everything else is great and we love the grand setting, quirky building, friendly and helpful staff, and the excellent breakfasts.

This is our second visit to the hotel. We had a double room for three nights, that was showing slight signs of wear and tear. The room was very clear, although when I asked the lady who was cleaning our room for a toilet roll, she explained I would have to go to reception as she did have any. We also left towels in the bath to be replaced, they were folded up and put back on the side without being replaced. All the staff were very friendly, particularly the staff on reception. We ate breakfast at the golf course club house. It was very reasonably priced and delicious.

Plenty of parking. All facilities were available (pool, spa golf etc) at an extra cost but I didn't use. Room looked out on to a brick wall and outdoor plumbing, but I assume this is because I didn't book directly with the hotel. Grounds were immaculate but not visible from our room. Didn't have breakfast so cannot comment but it smelled good!

The pool was warm but the hot tub was out of order today so not able to use which was very disappointing seeing as it wasn't working properly yesterday either and is a big part of the attraction of staying at Cave Castle. It was also not pointed out by the leisure centre staff when wishing to use the leisure facilities which it should have been. Poor service definitely

We always stay and they welcome dogs - but only in the tired annex and which is . And which is fine and good value but overdue a refit. Clean enough but tired. Positives always outweigh the negs so more a 3.5 and made up by East Riding hospitality - warm and natural -

An interesting split between the old and the new. Stayed in the new part, wished I would have stayed in the old part. You may need a map to find your way around. Plan your breakfast time it’s a small dining room for a lot of guests. Excellent grounds. In those infamous words “ I will be back”

Room was tired, dirty and generally not in good order. Booked this hotel solely so i could use the pool after a long day on the road with work. Arrived to be advised it wasnt included and they wanted £14 for me have a swim. I had a matress cover that was too small squeezed over my bed making it bend up and become all out of shape ....wont be returning!!

Hairs in the food at breakfast. Fire alarm in middle of night. No communication from staff at all, we had to go find someone to ask if safe to go back to room. Staff generally unhelpful

What a great find. Cave Castle is a lovely hotel and the staff are amazing. I contacted the hotel a few days before with some requests regarding my wife as she has mobility issues. One was for the room to be on the ground floor or close to the lift and the other was for extra pillows as my wife has to sleep upright. When we arrived the staff on reception pulled out our check0in notes and informed us that everything was set up as per our request. The staff are warm and friendly as well as helpful. If you want a base for exploring this part of Yorkshire come here and you won't be dissapointed.

Beautiful scenery, and rooms were well presented. Couldn’t try the food, due to limited menu at the Courtyard bistro. But overall experience was good. Would be visiting again.
