Great location. Cooked to order breakfast. Very personable and interesting hosts. Would definitely stay again if we were to return to the island.

Staff was so friendly and accommodating (we arrived early) - excellent communications throughout and had helpful suggestions for things to see around the area, as well as bus options (we got the 48 hour pass based on their advice - definitely worth it). Breakfast was really good, full english options and fruit/yoghurt/cereal selections. Room was incredibly spacious and so quiet on the streets we could leave the window open overnight. Location was very convenient to the train station, busses, and the beach, only a 15 min walk down to the Shanklin Chine. It was a really great place to stay.

We can highly recommend this B&B. We got a very warm welcome, the room was lovely, the bed comfortable, the breakfast superb & we really enjoyed our stay there. We will definitely look to stay there again if/when we return to the IOW.

When we arrived we were greeted with a very warm welcome. We were asked about dietary needs/requirements which is a lovely touch and shows the owners care about their clients. We’ve never been asked at other hotels in the past. Room was clean, tidy and very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and had a lovely big shower. Breakfast was cooked fresh, plentiful and nothing was too much trouble. Overall one of the best places we’ve stayed at so far.

Very good hospitable father&son host. Poached eggs at breakfast the best we've had. Other gussts had good ideas/suggestions too as to what was happening in the area for free too, but was too late for us as we were leaving after a 2 night stay. Bed very comfortable. Maybe just a bit of updating in decor needed, but otherwise, yes we would stay again.

The Avenue is a little gem. So quiet, inside in excellent condition and the food was out of this world. Simon and Jonathan were absolutely perfect hosts, so friendly and helpful, can’t wait to go again
