If you are only planning on staying 1 night in Bristol this is fine but, I highly advise to avoid at all costs. Personally I did not enjoy the fact the whole place stank of cigarettes, the rooms and facilities are not very clean i did not even want to use the cups they had available for teas and coffee, I was afraid I'd catch something. We woke up the next day and someone had been sick outside our door. Never coming back here

We showed up in bristol shattered from crossing the country, we were met by a nice man who turned sour abruptly. We were told to go up to our room and find the keys on the table but they weren’t there, within 5 minutes we were accused of stealing keys we never had, which was met with interrogations and threats to cancel our booking and kick us out leaving us on the street after midnight, which was very emotionally distressing. Do recommend this if you need a cheap stay and you don’t mind being belittled.

This place is an absolutely awful place. I arrived to police and paramedics attending and it got worse. Emergency Lighting is not working (H & S) and just getting up the stairs is difficult as they are not lit. No Wifi (Password) or TV Remote so literally just a bed. Booked 2 nights; will stay 1 and ask for a refund.

Location is very far from the city centre. But closer to the Ashton Estates. This booking is extremely helpful during Bristol Balloon Festival. Just 20-30 min walk from this hostel. Only drawback of this place is that it is a bit old. Although there is a kitchen to cook and complementary coffee/tea in the rooms. I booked triple room with shared bathroom. Bathroom was good but shower was old. It took some time for a hot water. Room was good but we felt the price of this place could be less than what we paid. Host was a friendly guy and no complaints about him.

Honestly don't understand all the negative reviews. You get what you pay for. The place is a bit outdated, but it's cheap and cheerful, clean and safe. It's a roof over your head for the night! We have absolutely no complaints. The staff were lovely to us and were happy to help, always had a smile when we saw them. Room was clean, tidy, fresh bedding and it was exactly what it says on the tin. Shared bathroom opposite the room but for the cheap price I think some people need to get a grip. Coffee and tea with biscuits provided, location is good and honestly didn't have any issues at all. Would definitely return for a no-frills, one night stop over.
