This is a wonderful friendly, family pub. We had the good fortune to book off-season and the hotel/room type accommodation was of a very high standard. How many places offer fresh milk in the fridge for your Nespresso (4 varieties to choose from), or have a high quality TV that works well, great ?home-made shortbread. - not many. The restaurant is a go-to in the immediate area (of well-heeled discerning people) so supper and breakfast were both great - though I don't know what cooked would have been like as I had the continential stuff - lovely. But most importantly our hosts couldn't have been more helpful or kind - I felt very welcome. In fishing season I think you'll struggle to get a room and pay a bit more, but otherwise you'll have an absolute bargain here, and yes, I do give 1 star reviews if necessary

Lovely country pub, great pub, lovely staff, nice quality complimentary toiletries, decent coffee machine in the room. Great value, nice food. Very good indeed.

They really don't like people booking via online providers. If booking direct you get an upgraded room and free drink.

A beautiful pub in a quiet village in Hampshire. Food was great and the staff were very friendly. I felt at home and will definitely stay here again when in Andover.

The pub was beautiful and I loved every minute there. My surname is Francis and i was even give the room name of Francis Francis. I had a lovely stroll through the village.... Beautiful chocolate box village. Definitely A*
