The bedding and towels were lovely and clean, couldn't fault. The shower tray left a lot to be desired, along with the shower mat and windowsill. There was no way of opening/closing the windows as they were too high. The same with the curtains. A long bamboo rod attached to the top could help with opening/closing? Staff? Hardley saw a soul in the 4 days I was there. The breakfast was sufficient for what I needed.

A lovely stay at Spring Gsrden. They are having some renovations done on ground floor so ignore the review regarding the boarded up windows, if the person had asked they’d have found a lovely owner who is very friendly and can’t do enough to help if needed. It’s a listed building from 1840 with loads of history so any changes take time. I’m so pleased I took time to have a chat with the owner who is very passionate about the area. The bar and pool table are no longer at the property, not a big loss for me personally and means one more room available to book in future. Room was nice size and for the price you really cannot complain. Thank you and I will be back!

We loved the warm friendly nature of the staff. The continental breakfast was varied and plentiful. Room clean and had character.

The decor was dated but if you can see passed that the landlady is the loveliest lady you could meet, she was so helpful and kind and couldn’t do enough for us.
