We have been coming to this pub for fifteen months, and have been amazed by the consistently high quality of the Sunday roasts and some of the other dishes on offer during the week. The fish and chips is excellent, as is the steak and mushroom pie. We can't praise the staff enough, very friendly and helpful, special mention to Tracy, nothing is ever too much trouble for her. Phoned on the journey home. Friendly welcome and seated straight away even though we were early. Really wanted the Tuesday roast special but they only had one left but Tracy was a star and managed to sort a pork chop with a roast. Great portions and lovely food

1 star for rooms as I haven't used those so I can't really rate. However the restaurant has lovely food, very professional and polite staff. Food was a very good plate size and a good price as well. Car park size is very good today was filled with probs 30 cars or more. Charming atmosphere with a well inside the pub. Would deffo come back in the future

Tuesday lunch visit. The staff today were beyond helpful to accommodate our nervous reactive rescue Staffie, from the phone call asking for an out the way table to reallocation of a table to outside as the weather picked up. Literally above any other consideration I have ever had anywhere. The food also got great praise from us all. The venue is clean, cute and parking no issues at all. A definite revisit if we are ever this way again. Thank you all for your kindness today.

We often pop in for dinner. The waitresses are always helpful, welcoming and friendly. The service good and the food exceptional. Portions sizes really good. Worth adding cauliflower cheese but definitely have to share it. Desserts are amazing especially the sticky toffee pudding. Gluten free too. The sticky toffee sauce is amazing. Used to be lots and thick but they seem to have thinned it out? Sugar tax maybe? Definitely need it thick and lots of it! If you go in a Sunday the roasts come in three sizes. But you probably need to book as it’s so popular. Go earlier if you want cauliflower cheese as they run out by 5pm.
