I had booked x2 separate nights as was unsure of my plans. On arrival greeting was friendly . A staff member reorganised my booking to give me one room / an upgrade for the x2 nights. Thankyou! Room was nice, bedding clean and fresh. However, the room needed a good clean/ dust , tops of skirting boards were very dusty. Same in the bathroom. Plus clean in the corners guys! Shower was REALLY good, easy to use and clean. Plenty of fresh towels. Loo nice and clean. Breakfast……. was alright, plenty of choice, nice staff. .

The room was OK. I could open the lower half of the sash window. The desk had a stool, but I'd have preferred a chair with a back rest. Full English breakfast was pretty good. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Certainly no concerns about staying there again.

What a little gem forget your big chain hotels this place was lovely. The rooms are clean the bathrooms have just been refurbished and all with a full English breakfast in the price as well all for a very low price

Great stay, last minute stay over, reasonable price and great location. We had a great sized room , the building is quite old so yes its uneven in places , but its the character of the building Great bar, wonderful outside area ( sun trap) and we had a great breakfast, full english. Ate later on in the evening but again food was really good

When we first arrived we were given a room in the annex and unfortunately the room was very dusty. However, we spoke with a member of staff and they moved us to a room in the main building which was nicer but once again very dusty. We were rest assured if we could give them half hour they would clean the room top to bottom which they did! We went back and it was perfect and everything was amazing. Breakfast was great and upon checking out we were told all the rooms would be getting checked over for any other possible issues. Overall it was a lovely stay with a little hiccup that was resolved promptly

Lovely, helpful and efficient staff. Great breakfast and evening meal. Fab shower and comfy bed. Good value for money. Skirtings in room very dusty. Very handy for Kentwell Hall.

As an independent, there was a good selection of cask beers (never pub/hotel and bar in the village are Green King) We only had breakfast in the hotel, the full English was excellent, plenty of juice, toast and tea coffee. Service was also exceptional. Josh was brilliant as was Nick (who is the owner)

Great room, food, breakfast and staff!

The room was clean and also the bathroom which had a bath and shower. The staff are very helpful. The meals are good and breakfast is included.

Perfect stay, very comfortable and welcoming

We had a lovely 1 night’s stay in this charming old inn, built in the early 1600’s. The staff made us feel welcome and served up a delicious full English breakfast in the morning.

The room (double with ensuite) was comfortable and clean. The price was excellent especially as it included breakfast. Would I return? A definite yes.

We had a lovely long weekend at the crown hotel. The food was good. Long melford was really nice. The staff were helpful and friendly!

The propertys owner helped me book breakfast, which was beautiful, when we arrived, helped me with my belongings, the room was lovely and big, it's a beautiful town with affordable Uber transport
