What a brilliant pub/hotel! Will stay again. Such a lovely hotel with views by the river. Room was spacious, lots of interesting pictures, wonderful food and very polite, helpful staff. Convenient parking. Loved the spiral staircase with over hanging wisteria!

I had a lovely stay here for a few nights while solo traveling. The room was beautiful, and the property was fantastic. The only small drawback for me was I’m not sure if the AC worked in my room, and as an American, I need that cool air. Fortunately for me, it was cool outside and I was able to open the window enough making my stay comfortable. I had dinner at the pub, and that was lovely as well. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Exeter stay here. I did walk to the hotel from the train station and it’s not too bad of a walk, and the sidewalk was wide and flat the whole way.

Beautiful location on the river. Lots of outdoor seating. Nice bar and restaurant. Room was nice, but air wasn’t working and no one could fix it. It was very warm for a while, but cooled off at night. They brought us a fan. Food was very good. Servers very nice

Spotless room with fabulous heating- temperature outside was -1* overnight, our room was toasty! View was gorgeous as were the bed, shower and all other facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was good. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

It’s an amazing venue , the room ( 7 ) was excellent. All the staff are so good and the food is awesome . Will definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

We had a lovely four night stay at the Mill on the Exe while in Exeter to watch rugby. The room was comfortable and clean with a view of the River, and the breakfasts were superb. We also dined at the restaurant on Sunday evening to enjoy their traditional roast dinner & a delectable sticky toffee pudding. Overall, it was a wonderful stay with easy parking, comfortable accommodations, and a standout breakfast menu.

Short notice booking, very friendly staff and I was upgraded to the suite on check in. Dinner was excellent as was breakfast. Room was large, bed very comfortable and the shower was excellent.

Nicer than I expected. Nice outside sitting area by the river, would be lovely in summer. The room was nice and well fitted out. I’d definitely use again

Not as nice as I was expecting. My view was over the car park. The manager pointed out that Expedia customers need to stipulate if they want a river view. For £145 I thought I’d get one but he said that was cheap for Exeter. Other observations: Not double glazed - just an extra piece of glass that didn’t cover the whole window. Wifi insecure Parking - no notification that there was private parking for guests, which is important I think, as I parked in the crowded pub car park. Multiple power outages Toilet flush issues Given wrong wine. French sav said was given but second waiter said hadn’t had for ages. Staff seemed a little clueless.
