We enjoyed the beautiful historic hotel, with amazing views of the water! The rooms were comfortable, although we were there when it was very warm, and would have liked to have some fans. The staff did a nice job accommodating our request for rooms next door to each other. Amazing breakfast, nice swimming pool, wonderful location… We would definitely stay there again!

Hotel was nice and very convenient to busses and the train. Breakfast was excellent. Luggage storage was available. Bed mattress could be updated to be thicker. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Very poor hotel that has not been updated nor it seems properly managed in decades.

Comfy room and impressive dining in restaurant with lovely food. Facilities such as laundry room weren’t user friendly or accessible. Road noise and music was disruptive due to extreme sport festival going on in Odda which would have nice to have been warned about

Beautiful historic hotel. Train station is next door. Full breakfast with delicious selections. If you are looking to extend your Norway in a Nutshell tour stay on Voss. Lots of outdoor activities, great hiking at the top of the gondola.

Historic hotel with a beautiful view over the water. Large bedroom- with a sitting area. A kettle ! Nice bathroom with a good new shower. Decent toiletries. Enjoyed view at breakfast. Food very enjoyable and a wide selection. Arrived after a long journey but couldn't get dinner, even small plates in bar, which was a pity.

The staff at the hotel was very, very helpful. The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were also a plus. Great location to the gondola, the water, and downtown stores and restaurants.

Charming and characterful hotel. Excellent location backing on to railway platform. Opted for a room at the front which was quiet with beautiful fjord/mountain views. Clean, very comfortable beds and helpful staff.

The room was clean, small bathroom with no power outlets in the bathroom. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was as expected, the cooked items were barely warm.

Shower was dated; breakfast had limited choices; fried eggs were left for the guest who can down at 9:00 am on a plate; food was cold; Location and view is amazing; older and historic hotel; mainly wood construction; overall ok

Staff were super accommodating and friendly. We arrived at 5 am and the offered to turn the lights down in the lounge so we could sleep. Let us store our luggage until we could get our room and when we left for a day trip. Food was wonderful as well.

Excellent hotel, very traditional decor inline with its vast history. Great location on the train platform and next to the gondola. Free bus outside to Myrkdalen resort( great place for beginners to cross country and alpine skiing) very clean with amazing food. Helpful and friendly staff make sure you stay is comfortable. Spa facilities were fantastic as well. In the room the only thing was there was no coat hooks to hang outdoor coats. Electric Towel rail in the bathroom didn’t seem to work but this wasn’t an issue as there was under floor heating so things dried.

Gorgeous room, clean and spacious. Incredible views. We were lucky to have a room overlooking the lake, and also at the very end of a long corridor so didn’t experience any noise from other guests walking by. Great staff, helpful and friendly cleaning staff did a wonderful job.
