Very friendly people. Right next to Loire. Beautiful.

There was no elevator, but staff was extremely helpful. Railing in stairs was difficult to use.

Nice view of the river, a bit noisy due to being near to the bridge and busy road.

nice traditional hotel. Breakfast was ok but 12 euros each which I thought was expensive for a continental beakfast. Bed very comfortable.

Nice hotel by the river with two restaurants across the road. Rooms old fashioned but clean and in good condition. Aircon didn’t work.

Great boutique hotel, close to Sancerre wineries and sights. Clean and quiet rooms. There is also a good restaurant conveniently located just across the street from the hotel.

The hotel overlooks the Loire and is a short drive to the town of Sancerre. Very quiet as we were there off season during the week. The continental breakfast had plenty of options. Street parking was free. Two restaurants just steps away

Friendly comfortable riverside hotel

Ideally positioned on the riverside for exploring Sancerre and the cycle routes, the hotel is charming and the staff are all very helpful. Continental breakfast was tasty and hosted with a friendly smile. Other meals are easily satisfied by two restaurants within a minute walk! We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.

Friendly welcome, worth the extra 10 euros for superior room, aircon brilliant, WiFi powerful, bikes locked safely in shed, hostess booked a table in riverside restaurant opposite ( well worth it and also aircon) highly recommended.

Great location, if a bit traffic noisy. Friendly staff. More than one shampoo between 2 would've been good.

Just our kind of hotel. We loved it - lovely people, great view, good starting point for walks along the river, superb breakfast (home made pastries, breads, crepes, jams etc + excellent local cheeses, hams etc). Interesting rooms, decorated with artefacts from owners' travels. Several restaurants within walking distance

Lovely traditional french hotel

The owners were very welcoming and wanted to ensure our stay was memorable for all the right reasons. Secure parking was made available and the breakfasts were outstanding. The room was well appointed and comfortable. Local restaurants were available and gave great choice.

There was an issue with the AC in our room. With my request, staff came, looked and said said it’d be fine but nothing was done. I tried to raise the issue but could not have any help as staff is not available at night (after 8pm). You can call the number provided for reception but i couldnt reach. random sound from AC woke me a couple of times during night.

On the bank of the Loire river, a couple kilometers from the famous hilltop wine village, Sancerre, the Hotel de la Loire is an affordable lodging with character, and a very accommodating family as Managers. From its front door, you can bike, walk, or boat along the river, or merely cross the street to a superb waterfront restaurant, one of several nearby. The room was large, comfortable and furnished with taste and verve. The 19th century building is updated and reminds you that it is not a generic chain hotel at every turn.

Nice people. Good Hotel if you’re visiting Sancerre. Restaurant directly across the street on the river was great. Very few people there speak English.....which does not bother us much.
