We loved the Eccelso Hotel while staying in Rome. The Prati neighborhood was quiet and safe and within walking distance to all of the spots we wanted to visit while staying in Rome. The front end manager was very sweet and she took the time to give us helpful hints while staying in Rome and also guided us to several amazing restaurants and sites. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay in Rome.

great location near the Vatican. small room with no place to open luggage except the bed. very little sound insulation between rooms. they charge 5 euros for breakfast consisting of coffee, juice, & croissant. comfortable bed. very friendly and helpful staff.

The location was great. Bathrooms had mould in the bathrooms. The walls were so thin that you could hear everything happening outside our room. If someone made a drink in the reception area and stirred the cup, we could hear the spoon clink against the cup. We spent our whole stay whispering, as the hotel is covered in “silence” notices.

The property staff and condition of the hotel was extremely professional and clean will stay again. Location was extremely close to the Vatican and many wonderful restaurants.

Eccelso is very well run, wonderfully comfortable and so conveniently located. A serene oasis in a busy city.

Shower doors don't fit, water go every were.

The hotel was lovely but the walls were very think and I could hear snoring from another room. I was staying alone and someone coughing in another room woke me up. The bed was very comfortable and the pillow was equal parts firm and soft so could have been an amazing stay but for hearing everything in the rooms that share a wall with me.

Breakfast options are limited, but they're delivered promptly, affordably, and with a smile.

The room was spotless and the service absolutely AMAZING! The location was awesome. Walking distance to the Vatican was a big PLUS for us.

They were warm, welcoming, and always ready with helpful recommendations or a friendly conversation that made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. The location could not be more perfect. You’re just steps from St. Peter’s Basilica and some of the best local cafés and restaurants in the area — ideal for early Vatican visits and evening strolls through charming Roman streets. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or returning to Rome, Eccelso Hotel delivers a superior experience in every way. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely return!

The hotel was modern, clean, quiet and very convenient to the Vatican. The very reasonably priced coffee bar in the lobby was a nice touch. The window opened and the AC worked, even in October. The area felt upscale and safe, if quite busy. The front door isn't easy to find unless you know what to look for, but the staff provided instructions before we arrived, so we didn't have a problem. The lobby is only manned 8:00 to 20:00, but they are willing to help schedule things outside those hours.
