Good service and excellent service

This is absolutely not a 5 star hotel. I changed my room 3 times for a 9 night stay in which I stayed 3 of them in the hospital. when I first arrived to the hotel my room was so dirty. Every single surface was dirty. I requested to change my room. The next room was a little better. However, the construction outside was unbearable. I didn’t care at the time because I was checking into the hospital for surgery the following night. upon arriving back to the hotel post operation, needing a lot of rest, I could not sleep because the construction noise was unbelievably loud. I called Expedia right away asking for assistance. They informed me that a member name MERT, would be calling me and switching my room and that they would assist me with my Bags because I was not able to lift due to the surgery. I waited and still no call. I went downstairs, and he informed me that there’s currently no rooms available and to try again later. However, I kept pushing back and automatically he was able to assign me a room right away, which lets me know he was just lying and being lazy. The bag guy in the front eventually came to my room and gave me an attitude because all my bags were not packed and I expressed to him that I can’t lift that’s why I needed his help. I would have gave him a nice tip if he was not so rude. The 3rd room was much better and the noise went away. That night, I was awaken in my sleep as there was a couple entering my room . The Hotel in General is very good, especially the staff. However, I found the SPA especially the Sauna and Steam rooms need to be upgraded, maintained better.

The hotel location is a little bit in a heavy traffic area, for example the Mall of İstanbul which you can see it across the freeway, there is no walkway to it, going there is only by car or taxi usually takes 20-30 minutes due to heavy traffic.

Amazing place to stay and it’s very close the the mall

I had a wonderful stay at the **Rotana Hotel during my solo trip to Turkey. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the service was excellent throughout my stay. The location was about 25-30 mins from all the tourist places. Traveling alone can sometimes feel overwhelming, but the team here made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great experience for third time staying

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The service was excellent throughout my visit, and the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. The breakfast deserves special mention — it was absolutely incredible! Very rich, fresh, and diverse, with a wide variety of options to choose from every morning. I am very satisfied with my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Turkey. I would happily stay here again.

First of all, this hotel is about 40 minutes away from Istanbul Airport and located directly opposite Mall of Istanbul. In terms of location, it sits between two major highways in a modern part of the city, far from Istanbul’s main tourist attractions, which are mostly in the older and historic areas. This means you’ll likely rely on taxis every day, and a round trip can cost close to £40. The hotel itself is a tall tower and stands out nicely among nearby buildings. It has a large “G Rotana” sign on top, and most drivers seem to know it simply as “Rotana.” At the entrance, there is a revolving door that’s quite inconvenient, along with a metal detector gate that feels unnecessary, as there is no proper security check and it alarms constantly. The staff speak good English, and despite arriving a couple of hours early, we were checked in without any issues. The hotel has 15 floors and around seven elevators, which means you almost never have to wait. Rooms are slightly smaller and less polished than the photos suggest, but still comfortable overall. Rooms on floors 6 and above have better views, especially at night. The bathroom was large, although some worn tiles were noticeable. Service was excellent. We requested a baby cot and received it quickly, and anything we asked for was delivered within minutes. This hotel is amazing! People are super friendly. Definitely a 5***** hotel. Would definitely stay here again. Great location (currently undergoing construction at the main entrance) but so worth the stay. Nice and quiet area and an amazing mall (212 power outlet) on the same street.

Staff was extremely friendly and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was tasty. Room was okay. Bed was comfy. I slept great! The floor was dirty but everything else was clean. The pool requires a head cap which was never mentioned in the description. They don’t mention the head cap until you show up and will try to sell you one and it is over priced.
