Nice area, nice room EXCECPT for the fact that the shower did not work. Very disappointing, They would not refund anything back. For that fact alone, I would not go there.

The receptionist was excellent. She helped us out with a language difficulty with our Uber driver.

Lots of place to dine, a bit far from the old town and main train station. We just used uber to go around places.

The hotel was very well located for public transport and dining options/ supermarket - the staff were friendly - there was a useful fridge in the room. Although there was no air con, fans were provided which worked well in the heat.

Felt the Check in Staff could have been more helpful, Didn't really explain things properly even with directions we were lost

Whilst checking in, receptionist was in a hurry to leave. Couldn’t ask her fwhether cot was in place. Found cot wasn’t there. Needed kettle, bowl, microwave. Receptionist who came the next day gave these. Other staff very nice and polite. Internet didn’t work until we left. Hot drinks available 6.30 - 21.00.

Beds very comfy. Suite was very spacious and lots of outside balcony space.

The hotel is in a great area near a tram stop. The restaurant has interesting Ukrainian cuisine, for dining indoors or out. There are several other restaurants very close. The staff was professional, if not especially friendly. There is no front desk staff available overnight.

I had failed to note that Hotel Alexander does not have air conditioning, and it was very, very hot. Mid 90s Fahrenheit (low 30s Celsius). So we were not comfortable, but in all other respects, this hotel was wonderful. The staff were all helpful, kind, and professional. The tram stop was a 2 minute walk. The free breakfast was hot and delicious. The WiFi worked. The room was spacious for European hotel rooms, and we loved the large balcony patio. Great for a family of 4.

My review would have been much better had I not been charge way more than the price I booked it at through Expedia. The price when we booked was about $220 Canadian dollars. We chose to pay when we arrived. However when we got there we were charged over $600! I can understand that it was because EuroVision was taking place. Maybe it’s Expedia’s fault and I shouldnt be making this the hotels fault. In any event. The room was clean. It’s in a good location.

Very good value hotel for the money I paid. Two minutes from waitrose, 3 to the tube. Room was basic but quite big for a UK room. Bathroom was a little small however. Overall, would happily stay again. I hope they sort the gym out however!

Small and friendly hotel approximately 20mins walk from the charming old city centre. Also on tram route. Clean and functional room with safe and coffee maker. Buffet breakfast had plenty of choice. As a base for a 3 day stay it was ideal.

The receptionists were really friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the stay but I really have to praise the receptionists in particular.

The room was very basic. Bed and bathroom. Bed was comfortable. There was a coffee maker which we couldn't figure out how to use. No instructions.
