Not much parking so plan to use taxis. The free west (partial) style breakfast has some things to be desired. But it had toast, jelly, butter, coffee, cereal, eggs. The milk is warm/hot (Ug) and the bacon was not bacon (Don't know what it was - but had NO taste). The room even had a weight scale and a rubber duck at the full bath tub. Lots of hot water in the separate glassed shower space. I also recommend it due to the short walking distance to some of the sites. If you want to take site tours, they have a person on the first floor to set that up for you.

Lovely hotel close to shops, lakes, river, restaurants and transport. Room spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and soft. Breakfast included in price with big Chinese choice. Staff at reception don’t speak English but helpful girl in tourism office does.

The hotel was well located on the Main Street in Guilin. It’s only 10 minutes walk to the river. The room was warm and comfortable. Breakfast choice limited. None of the reception staff spoke English.

The price was very good and the hotel superb. The rooms had everything you could need on your stay and elegant. The staff spoke English and were very helpful. The breakfast wasn’t the best but that’s because I am not used to Chinese food not because it was bad, everyone else in the room seemed happy enough so if your open to an eastern breakfast all is good. We arrived late and left early but from what I seen in my short visit I would recommend to others

Everything was good except communication was not so easy as all the staff speaks only Chinese. I used Translate app to communicate.

Perfect place to stay. Could not ask for more at any price. Staff was fabulous Concierge even led us down the street five minutes from hotel to find a restaurant serving a local dish not available at the hotel. Clean, comfortable. Great shower

The level of English spoken here is not great. Also we booked a Li River cruise thru the hotel travel desk and were assured that the tour would be in English and that we would have a coach return to the hotel at the end. Luckily I double checked before our morning driver left only to discover they were now saying there was no return!! Then no English on the boat. Very stressful and unpleasant experience. They managed to get us back but the manager at the hotel would not take responsibility and basically said we were in the wrong.

The room was exceptional and the hotel is well-located. Some of the staff speaks English - ask for someone who does to assist you, as if you are being helped by a non-English-speaker that person may not offer to hand you over to someone who does.

The building is older and is located out of the newer shopping area. There is a bus stop one block away for a short ride to the shopping mall and more restaurant options. The staffs are very helpful. The restaurant on site is highly rated. Our dinner there was very good. the restaurant manager Ms Liu is very hospitable and seems to work very hard to take care of all her customers. All in all, the friendly staff made it a pleasant stay.

The room was huge, the bathroom was massive and all at an affordable price! Location was also very good, near to the river. The breakfast buffet was beyond my expectations with tons of food. I would go back.

We had a great experience during our stay. The rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated. The breakfast buffet was really good with a lot of options. They have a place to safely leave your luggage before and after you check in or out.

3.5 star hotel is very convenient walking distance to local attractions like twin pagodas and elephant trunk hill. Approx 21 - 26 Yuan from train station. 1st day the A/C didn't seem cold enough but finally worked well after 5pm. No issues after that. Reasonable room rates for the busy time period during mid April. Clean rooms and welcoming staff. TV only Chinese speaking channels. Beds are typical firm level and large enough for 2 adults. Smell of cigarette smoke in corridors but not in room. I don't know how they separate between smoking and non-smoking rooms because all have ash trays. Each room has a remote control clothes drying exhaust in shower stall if you need a small amount of clothes to be hand washed and dried for self service. Very nice feature from this hotel. Large selection of food offerings in buffet breakfast but doesn't change much during the 4 nights we were there. More of a brunch than a breakfast so you can fill up easily. Enough seating but quite busy and staff continue to refill trays so favorite items are never empty. No real typical western foods like pancakes and waffles if that's a concern for outside tourist. You may be surprised on seeing how much food Chinese people eat in one seating but it is normal. Cash down payment is returned quickly at checkout as they call representative to check room immediately when empty. Overall I will exclusively look for this hotel first before booking anywhere else in the future.

T.he first night was sleepless, not due to the big comfy bed, but the FOUL sewer gas odor coming from the bathroom pipes. It woke me repeatedly. The following morning they quickly and graciously changed my room with the help of the bellman- no problems in the new room. Rooms are clean, amenities are great (condoms in the nightstand? lol) Included breakfast was delicious, fresh, an betwd hot. The on site travel agent has very good English and I scheduled the Li River cruise (on the big boat) and the Rice Terraces. Both were long, full days, but very worth it. I would recommend this hotel and the tours whole heartedly. The location of the hotel is perfect. It's a 10 minute walk to Elephant Trunk Hill where I spent the day between touring walking around the park, hiking up the hill, shopping for souveniers, and eating delicious food. Go back and see it at night, too- not to be missed! There is a pedestrian night street market not five minutes from the hotel, and a movie theater- I got to see two American films while I was in town, too. Guilin is a must-see place to visit. I would recommend this hotel and all of these activities to friends and family, for sure.
