Self-check-in was easy. Thanks for texting me prior to my arrival that my apartment number had changed and texting me instructions, as well as sending the information via email. When I entered the unit, some lights and both TVs were on; it was welcoming and warm. The unit's furnace was on which was nice since the daytime temp was in the -20s Celsius upon my arrival. The 7th floor one bedroom apartment was very clean and modern (north facing, no balcony), and included kitchen cookware, microwave, kettle, toaster, Keurig (with two coffee pods), dishware and utensils, cutting board, Wi-Fi, two TVs (Rogers service), fridge with bottom freezer, dishwasher, compact washer & dryer. Lots of cupboard and drawer space. Modern bathroom, King sized bed with two end tables and closet storage. All appliances and the furnace were easy to operate. The unit was cleaned once during my two-week stay which was fine with me. There was a broom and dustpan for my use. I never used the dishwasher. Included: laundry detergent, dryer sheets and dish soap, hand soap, small bottles of hand cream, shampoo and conditioner, and extra toilet paper, tissues and paper towel. Garbage chute access on the same floor, two elevators (with security cameras) and bright hallways. The central location was fantastic for a solo traveler with no vehicle. The building itself was clean, bright and quiet. Thanks again to Kaity and the team. I look forward to staying there again soon!

Everything was good. Manager was friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Cooked up a storm. Good stay. A lot of my relatives stayed there so we were popping from room to room between the funeral events. Thanks

My wife and I were visiting family for the holidays and stayed here for 7 nights. We opted for something more spacious than a hotel room, that could offer a living area, kitchen and separate bedroom. Great place overall. Nicely designed, great location. Great views of the city. Smart TVs in the living room and bedroom with each their own cable box made it very convenient for the times we just wanted to stay in and watch our favorite shows. Huge plus having a washer and dryer in the unit. The building has a gym, a sauna & a pool. It also has a theater but we were told only residents could use it. Management is very responsive and accommodating. Having access to parking garage (for a fee) was also convenient as we drove in from out of the country and didn't have to figure that part out. Now the less ideal part. The bedroom was a bit on the smaller side but still fine for 2 people. The bed itself was decent, although it took us a couple of nights to adjust. The main reason why I'm taking a star off the rating is that the bedroom has a curtain but it is NOT blackout. My sleep is very sensitive to light and the room needs to be almost if not pitch black. The slightest light peaking in either from the street lights or the sun with the white walls reflecting light all over the room, made my nights not as enjoyable & restless. Not sure if all the apartments are designed like the one we were in, but this was definitely the bummer of the stay. Other than that, highly recommend.

This luxury apartment was perfect for bringing in groceries and having your own cooking done before heading out. The cleanliness was absolutely perfect. The hotel management was amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We will be forever grateful to John and Kaity for the detailed and personalized experience we received during our stay and for making sure everything during our stay was beyond perfect. Highly recommend this property and we will surely return in the future!

All good except for the strong scented cleanser used in the lobby and parking areas. It’s headache inducing.

Room was great although a bit more attention detail could be applied when cleaning. The bathroom had several hairs in various locations, large and small, and it was like that episode of Seinfeld trying to splash them all away. Definitely didn’t sign up to clean the bathroom walls upon arrival but other than that the place is awesome.

We recently stayed in a two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite at Soho Lisgar and were very pleased with our experience. The self check-in process was simple and convenient, and the property was clean and well maintained. The suite itself was a good size and came with everything we needed — a full kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher, stove, oven, and a large fridge with a freezer on the bottom. It even had a washer and dryer, which was a great bonus for a longer stay. The beds were very comfortable, and overall the suite was quiet, though we did hear the occasional siren at night — to be expected when staying downtown. We enjoyed being able to cook breakfast and dinner right in the suite. Having a Farm Boy grocery store just a few blocks away made picking up groceries very convenient. One of the main reasons we chose Soho Lisgar was because it offered a parking garage. Street parking downtown is expensive, and the nearby lot is usually packed during the day. On one day, the parkade garage door was being replaced, so we were given the option to leave our car inside or park elsewhere, and management covered the outside parking cost — a nice touch. If we had to mention any minor improvements, it would be to add a few more kitchen items, like a spatula, serving spoons, oven mitts, a muffin tin, and a frying pan (there were pots but no frying pan). Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely book again the next time we’re in Ottawa!
