The rooms are showing their age and are in need of refurbishment.

The dining area and front of house is nice and modern. The rest of the hotel is like stepping back 30 years. All in need of modernising. The staff are great! Food was good.

A canny location for getting out and about and reasonably priced. However the spa facilities it turned aren't included in the price and are in sessions, £20 for 3 hours, which I guess is quite reasonable, however not if you just wanted to have an hour for a quick relax in the hot tub or a swim before going out to tea etc, which was the reason for my booking this hotel. Not did I appreciate the 9am door knocking along every room in the corridor on bank holiday Monday from "housekeeping". The hotel rooms are dated but clean and functional and the bar/restaurant has a modern feel.

It feel very dated around parts of the hotel and the bed was rather noisy even when making slight adjustments in my sleep. Rooms were ridiculously hot when we arrived so slept with the fan on (in February)

The hotel was nice however the rooms very dated and dark. Lighting was really poor. The food at breakfast was ok however not very fresh. We had a cheese and chutney sandwich one evening which consisted of 2 thin slices of bread, 1 slice of cheese and a small smear of chutney a few tortilla chips and salad garnish this was £10.50. We also booked the twilight at the spa, had to go looking for staff to get a drink, had to ask for the jacuzzis to be opened, the pool was freezing. Staff attentive and polite when we had found them. Car park very poorly lit at night. I feel the hotel could be so lovely with a bit more TLC and upgrade on food, if your paying premium prices I would expect premium food and service.

Lots of free parking , easy to book in , room was clean , staff were all great , food was good & my steak was cooked perfectly . Garden & pond would be nice in summer . Although I didn't use them , the spa , swimming pool are & gym are very good indeed with multiple treatment rooms .

Clean place, friendly staff, very quiet and relaxing. Small but good gym, and didn’t have the chance to use the pool and hot tub but it seemed like people were enjoying it.
