This is our second weekend break to this amazing Country Pub and I am delighted to be leaving this 5 star review. The staff are all so very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. You are made to feel special as guests. The accommodation is first class, the bed so comfortable and the decor extremely tasteful and well presented. The food is fantastic and the pub pride themselves on the use of local produce and it speaks for itself, worthy of special mention is the breakfast quite simply “ amazing “ The pub is what a true country pub should be and is an absolute credit to the owners and all the staff who work there. We are already excited for our next visit in November to the fantastic pub.

We've just enjoyed an excellent meal at the Carpenters Arms. We were a little concerned as we were aware that it had new owners and surprised to find it wasn't full as we were used to under previous ownership but 5 of us very much enjoyed our food. It was disappointing to hear that only one of the slimmed down pie menu was served as a quarter of a large pie and the other pies were individual, as this has always been our main draw but 3 of our party enjoyed quarter slices of a chicken, ham and leek pie. I had liver and bacon which was plentiful and beautifully cooked, and our remaining guest had cod and chips, again very good, as were our desserts which followed. Well done, Carpenters Arms. We've booked to come again in May.

I turned up short notice due to a change of work plans. Staff were very accommodating and found me an available room at a very reasonable cost. The room was very well laid out with a spacious comfortable bed, I genuinely had the best nights sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. Food in the restaurant was fantastic, with a great choice and more then adequate portions, again had a lovely village pub atmosphere. Will definitely be returning when I’m Working in that area

Just had a Sunday Roast here and it was amazing. Great value for money, presented really well and good portion sizes. They offer dairy free dessert and ice cream too and have a good range of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan items available. Great pub, cost, atmosphere, excellent service...10/10 will be back again!

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here. The atmosphere was very cosy, it was a nice temperature and had a lovely vibe about it. We sat in the bar area as only booked a table the day before but it was very nice. The food was delicious, although very pricey considering we only had soft drinks and the desserts were pricey too. Would definitely return for food
