Tried to borrow scissors. The male receptionist said, “Scissors can only [be] borrowed in front of the receptionist desk, [you] can’t bring it to the room.” So the thing is, I was there for a wedding and [was] trying to wrap some gifts for the bride. If I wrap the gift at the front desk, the family or even the bride and groom can potentially see the gift, no? If the issue is they don’t want the scissors to be missing, just put a deposit for that 10-15k rupiah scissors. They also forgot to place a towel [in] the room (I need to ask for it) and the bathroom definitely can be scrubbed more deeply. On a more positive note, the female receptionist (morning shift) is definitely more friendly. She (and also the staffs) is super helpful when I need to move room due to booking under different name (my father book one room but different room type so I have to move). The female receptionist understood the issue completely and said that they will move my luggage to the new room when it[’]s ready. The cleanliness in the new room is actually better, so this part is probably luck-based. A bit overpriced imo for the quality, but [I] definitely will stay here again as accommodation options are limited around Nganjuk.
