Great hotel. It did the basics very well - clean, helpful staff, comfortable and nicely furnished rooms, great breakfast. We'll be back again soon.

Very comfortable and clean. Walking distance to all the main sights in Chester. Validated parking (£12 per day) is about 8 min walk away, you’ll walk by an ancient Roman amphitheater and a beautiful church. Breakfast is tasty with good variety. Concierge very helpful. Would recommend!

Hotel was comfortable, clean, quiet, and well-appointed. Love the location - within easy walking distance to the train station, across from Grosvenor Park, two blocks to the Roman amphitheater, and then another block or two to the historic Chester wall and remarkable two-tier shopping district with terrific restaurants, cafes, shopping. This is a lovely city and well worth spending time exploring.

Nothing negative to say about this very comfortable and clean hotel with a decent breakfast.

We were disappointed with our stay. Parking was not included as expected and confirmed and at check-in we were told there was no option for a larger vehicle, so we had to arrange alternative parking ourselves. We later spoke to someone at reception who assured us we would be refunded at checkout. In the end, we paid around £65 and only received £48 back, which was frustrating and unclear. We will be following this up with Hotels.com. Breakfast was also below expectations, with poor quality overall.

The property was fairly new and well maintained. Close to most dining options and in a very walkable neighborhood.

The bed was lovely and comfortable, and I had one of the best nights' sleep I've ever had in a hotel. The front-of-house staff were friendly, down-to-earth, and highly professional, with a genuine "nothing is too much trouble" attitude that made me feel very welcome. My only minor niggle was that the shower gel dispenser was empty, but as I had my own with me, it wasn't an issue. Overall, I had a great stay and will definitely be back. See you again soon!

Great location and lovely staff!

Check in was quick and easy and the receptionist was very polite. The room itself was to a good standard. There were just a few things that let it down. A cleaning cloth was left in the room on the dress table. Some for the fixtures in the room still had a layer of dust on. It did feel like the cloth had been left as the cleaner was supposed to come back and dust but had forgotten. The toilet also leaked

Being going to chester for years and this is by far the best one..everything was excellent, had a little problem in the first morning, new chef so was advised to order from the breakfast menu instead.. Second day breakfast was amazing ( different chef ) … overall this will be the hotel where I will be staying.. Did get an email with upgrading but on arrival it wasn’t available.. Overall Brilliant
