The property itself appeared in poor condition. On the 4th floor, large crack in the building near stairwell; while leaning against railing outside of the room, paint came off onto my hand; off-white upholstery had several marks and appeared tired; dated tv controls; room safe missing a tile and malfunctioned once required maintenance assistance. No light on room balcony, drain cover in the sink was coming apart. This said, the view from the room was beautiful. A full ocean view. The staff are friendly, nice and well trained. The meals are served in 3 courses, prepared well and delicious. The GM was engaging and attentive to our requests.

Wow!! We had an amazing week at The Soco. The hospitality, the staff, the food was amazing. Each room had a sea view and is equipped for all you need on an AI stay. The location was ideal for us, the hotel is at the of the boardwalk so you could chose to either drink and eat at the hotel or visit one of the bars and restaurants along the front. Which means you can have a quiet or louder night depending on your mood. The food at the hotel was excellent so we had no issues eating most meals at the hotel. The service was top level and the staff (and general manger) went above and beyond to make our stay the best experience. Some people have mentioned the road noise in the reviews- yes you can hear the road as the hotel is on the main coast road, but this never bothered us and we slept so well! The hotel is boutique with only 24rooms (approx) so the staff get to know you and your preferences and the bartenders knew what drinks to make without us asking LOL In summary - my husband and I have a policy to never stay in the same place or hotel twice as we think the world is too small to repeat a visit - but we would stay at The Soco in Barbados again and already thinking about another visit never year- for us that is top marks!!

It's a 3 star hotel at best. If you are looking for a good night sleep you won't get it! Soco Hotel is located on a main road with a nearby major construction site. The beeping and honking begins at 5a.m making it a challenge for light sleepers or anyone seeking a peaceful retreat. Food & Drink: Another disappointment was the hotel’s limited food and drink options. The restaurant has a small menu with just a few basic choices, none of which stood out as particularly memorable. If you're expecting a variety of high-quality dining options, you’ll be let down. The bar area, though cozy, doesn’t offer much either. In fact, there is no selection of top-shelf alcohol, which was a big letdown for anyone looking to unwind with a more premium drink. The bar was basically non-existent before 12p.m. CHEAPEST alcohol possible, no champagne, only prosecco. Rooms: Spacious with balconies, but need a major makeover, outdated. The beach: It's there, but you cannot swim in it, rocks. Don't be fooled by the photos.

Very nice small boutique all inclusive hotel. Right on the beach with bar, pool and patio area very nicely decorated with amazing views of water and sunsets. Beach is steps away from property. Shopping was within walking distance on board walk. The entire staff was amazing. Check in and out was a breeze, restaurant staff was friendly, polite and quick service. The food was delicious and at least 4 choices were offered each meal. We will definitely return again.

Our stay at the Soco was wonderful. Service was top notch and pampering. The food was outstanding. We especially enjoyed the convenience of the pool and ocean for lounging and dipping. Convenient location and staff from checkin to checkout was great - special shout out to the bar staff - Michelle, Shane, and Zach. The food service staff competent and friendly, especially Reina. The Chef deserves special praise for her outstanding meals.Additional praise for Michelle, who also connected us to the city, activities in the area and a tour around the island. It does need to be said that having a fourth floor room with no elevator will be an issue for anyone with mobility issues.

We recently celebrated our 25th anniversary at the Soco Hotel and it was amazing. We had such a great time, it was peaceful and relaxing just what we needed. The guest were mostly older/retired but everyonewas very nice, we are in our mid 40s. If you are looking for a party scene this is not the place. The hotel was in a central location, the room was large with a balcony overlooking the ocean. The beach was rocky, definitely bring water shoes. Chairs and umbrella were provided which was great. There is also a boardwalk that connects the hotel to a lot of local restaurants on the stretch along the ocean. The public beach was only 5 min drive away and free to get in and free parking. If you wanted loungers and an umbrella it was $20 for the day. The receptionist Shaniqua and Ms. Linda at the front desk were friendly and knowledgeable. Special thanks to Ms. Judith our housekeeper that surprised us by decorating our room and was just so kind in making sure we were taken care of. A special thanks to our bartenders Shane and Michelle who were both wonderful and made the best Bajan rum punch ever ank kept the liquor flowing. Thanks to all the hotess/waitresses that served us as well and made us feel special. Cons: Rocky Beach Plus: All meals were made to order and wonderful staff.

The Soco Hotel was a small intimate hotel with a great location! We enjoyed the boardwalk that was directly located behind the hotel along the water. It was very safe, walking distance to restaurants, malls and other beaches. The staff, service and food were exceptional! The online photos were deceiving as the rooms and washrooms were smaller than expected. We found the cleanliness was not to hotel standards. Overall, experience was great!

The staff were very rude and were not trained at all. It was quite unpleasant at times to say the least. All the beach towels were old and very stained. The chef was the best thing there. There were no lifts and we were on the top floor and had to walk up and town six flights of stairs at least twice a day.

Property location is good except for proximity to the busy roadway that could be bothersome in the early morning hours. All the rooms have great ocean views, but all but two are on upper floors, and not handicap accessible. The beach area was nice, but rather small as was the swiming pool. Because of our age, and weak Knee issues the staff was able to move us from a 3rd floor unit down to a 2nd floor unit that was much appreciated. All in all, we did enjoy our stay.

The Soco is a great resort if you are looking for a quiet vacation and seeing the sights around barbados. The services are excellent, staff are very friendly and accommodating. Bus stop is right outside the front door and Bridgetown is a 10 minute bus ride.

I truly enjoyed my stay at The Soco Hotel. Even though this was a solo trip , I never once felt alone. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, and the views were breathtaking. The cleaning staff also decorated my room for my birthday which was beautiful!!! Will definitely stay here again!!❤️❤️

We enjoyed the views of the ocean from our room and the pool. We had one or two issues which were resolved when we brought them to the attention of the management.

Hotel was very responsive and helped with transportation from the cruise port. Check in is at 3 PM - no exceptions- so if you arrive early have a plan or you are sitting and waiting. Property has no elevator - and being on the 4th floor was lovely as a view - but incredibly challenging for an older someone who lives with no stairs. Staff were friendly and helpful when asked. Food was good - and I was only there for two days - but the menu was the same both days. Location on the boardwalk was great for walking and enjoying the coastline. Nice property- but probably not the best fit for me.

Not enough lounge chairs, either @ pool or beach. Food, marginal. Housekeeping took our towels and didn’t replace saying it was some holiday so no towels that day. Low end alcohol. Very basic rooms and amenities.
