Lets start with the good. The staff are lovely, the rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The price is very reasonable for something a 5 minute walk from the beach. On the other side of the coin, I was asked if I wanted a pick up from the airport for $25 to which I agreed. On arrival the pick up wasn't there so I called the hotel and was told the driver was busy and I should 'get an uber'! I got a taxi and on arrival was told to take a seat (in reception) which I did. Check in was 12.00 and I arrived at 11.30, however, I had also booked and paid for the previous night and I expected it to be vacant. At 12.30 I got into my room. The hotel like many things in Kenya needs some care and attention. Ripped pool cushion covers, rusty fittings in the bathroom don't give a good impression. The biggest issue was the last night (Friday). Loud music stared from a local bar at 9.00 pm. At 10.00pm I went to ask reception how long it would go on for. They told me it was the start of the weekend and "For now I should just enjoy the music". Seriously! They music finally stopped at 3.00am by which time I was at my wits end. In summary, this is a nice hotel which could be improved - but if they offer you room 101 and it is over a weekend find somewhere else to stay.

Check in very slow. Hotel starting to show signs of fatigue. Whilst a nice venue and rooms pleasant, bed matress definitely needing replaced. Food menu disappointimg price wise and when meal ordered, reported did not selection. Very poor. Went elsewhere for evening meal. Breakfast buffet good - always has been a highlight of a stay here. Shower only cold water despite hot taps.

There serious issue with tap bathroom water. Water is super salty and not sure why they thought it’s good idea to give guest this kind of water for bathing or any kind of personal hygiene

Kahama Hotel is a clean facility. The staff is outstanding and will go out of their way to assist you. Mercy and Evelyn's hospitality made me feel at home.

Nice place. Second time there. It is not really a Beach Hotel. The we arrived there was only lukewarm water. The next day, only cold water.

Most disappointed on my second stay here. Booked because last time (6 months ago) was a great place to stay plus excellent service and reataurant. Sadly, lacks atmosphere, menu totally scaled back, service when had, good, but invariably hard to get. Place definitely is needing attention as seems management are letting what attracted me to this place, erode fast. Doubt i shall return here again! Real shame!

The staff were very friendly, jolly and efficient. Service was very good. However, the room(s) need some sprucing up, the bedsheets were old and overused, needing to be replaced like yesterday. The bed was clean but the mattress had seen better days and there was water leaking from the ceiling when the shower was opened.

The hotel was within walking distance to the beautiful Bamburi Beach. The rooms were clean and AC worked wonderfully. Mosquito net was also provided. Friendly and helpful staff at the hotel made the trip memorable. Wifi was not the most stable but the staff did troubleshoot quickly and helped out. Breakfast had lots of variety yet quality can be improved.

I have been many times to this hotel over the past 8 years but on this occasion it was not up to its previous good standard. The safe in the room could not lock and I reported it everyday and each time the answer was the technician is off today it will be fixed tomorrow. As you know tomorrow never comes, equally the safe was not fixed for the duration of my stay. The light in the bathroom above the wash basin took 5 days to be fixed (needed a new bulb). The wash basin was not emptying and overflowed if you did not watch it and turn off the taps. Just cleaning your teeth was enough to cause overflow. That was still not fixed when I left. Overall a disappointing experience after all my good times at this hotel

Great experience! The room was so spacious, well kept, and decorative of the local area! Lots of cool artwork in the hotel, that had a resort feel. Also, the sports bar next door serves great food, with a fun staff, and great music.
