Spotless rooms, wonderful extra amenities, and an amazing sunset trail! I loved my stay here. The chalets are beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. The shower is great, and unlike many other hotels, they actually provide lovely lotion and conditioner, which was a fantastic extra bonus! Don't miss the easy trail up the hill for the sundowners—the sunset view from the top is absolutely amazing and a must-do highlight of the lodge!

Lovely country lodge with private rooms. We liked the kitchen gardens at each chalet. Pleasant (if rather cold!) swimming pool. Enjoyable dinners and the sundowner balcony was sublime. Overall memory is of every single member of staff going the extra mile to be friendly and helpful.

A lovely setting, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the only criticism I might have is that they didn’t ask about my luggage and I was left to carry it to my room by myself. The pool is lovely as are the gardens.. each little chalet has its own garden which they use to grow the vegetables for the restaurant. I think that maybe dinner should be included as there wasn’t any other option near by.

The staff at Damara lodge were very professional and friendly. They ensured that every guest was well taken care of. A real plus for the food as they grow their own and kudos to Juju, the chef, for his creativity and talent.

The place is awesome, we loved it.

On the whole our stay at Damara Mopane Lodge was good. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived at the gate. The setting was beautiful and there was a great view point. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was tasty, but it was a strange mix of service and buffet for dinner. We were disappointed that we didn't have any hot water during our stay for showers, to the point that we couldn't shower in the morning. It is also worth noting that the address given on Hotels.com does not take you to the Lodge, but in fact into the township of Khorixas, approximately 20km away from the Lodge itself. We would recommend looking on the internet for clearer directions ahead of your visit if you're planning to stay there. Overall, we had a good experience, but in terms of value for money it was a little expensive.

What a shock! In the middle of the desert there is an oasis of tranquility and peace with superb food. We wish we had booked for a longer stay. The chef is excellent and embraced the challenge of cooking for the 2 vegans in our party. All the staff are very helpful and could not do enough for us. Thank you to everyonefor making our stay at your lodge so memorable. I will be telling everyone anout this amazing place.

Convenient for a stopover in Damaraland. Pool was a welcome rest after a day on the roads. Lovely surroundings so very enjoyable short stop.

We enjoyed the sundowner on the viewing platform. Good was fine & the bungalows had small gardens, nice staff & very well maintained.
